Running your race

Today's picture is of two signs, one indicating the bib number of a runner in a race and the other indicating at what point in the race they are. When we are in a race, despite any support we may have, we are still personally accountable for the race we run and the end result. We will have needed discipline in training, perseverance, purpose and a faith in the reward. Along these lines, Apostle Paul gives us these words to encourage us in our life's race - our earthly life's finishing line, when we draw our last breath, is not the end but we can continue on into eternity, when we believe Jesus for His salvation and conquering of death. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25: "Do you know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that does not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever". Keep going. Don't give up. It is your life's race.
