A federal judge halted the Trump administration’s efforts to get rid of roughly 4,000 federal workers during the shutdown on Wednesday. And yet while courts try to stop the Trump administration from axing government workers, hundreds of thousands of federal employees are going without paychecks. And the Affordable Care Act subsidies Democrats are fighting for are what stands between millions of Americans and even higher health care prices.
