Rutgers Bolsters Defense with Kromah | Rutgers Scarlet News

Rutgers makes a late-season splash by bringing in New Jersey native Sekou Kromah, a three-star transfer with one year of eligibility left, to fortify their struggling defense ahead of the 2026 season. Standing at 6’3” and 280 lbs, Kromah showed flashes of dominance last year despite missing five games due to injury — tallying 14 tackles, 4.5 for losses, and 3 sacks while playing both defensive end and tackle. With four other defensive linemen joining via the transfer portal, Rutgers is betting big on a defensive overhaul after surrendering too many yards on the ground and failing to generate consistent pressure last season.
