Rutgers Dominates Argentina 95-45 | Rutgers Basketball News

Rutgers women’s basketball is crushing it at the FISU America Games, dismantling Argentina 95-45 in a dominant performance that extends their tournament run with two straight blowouts by more than 50 points. They opened with a 101-51 win over host Peru, outscoring foes at an astonishing clip. The Scarlet Knights built a 23-10 first-quarter lead, stretched it to 49-20 at halftime, and locked down Argentina’s offense with suffocating defense. Coach Gary Redus II praised the team’s improved defense, especially with Tara Daye back and Mia Pauldo’s relentless pressure creating turnovers and fast breaks. Six players scored in double figures, led by Daye and Pauldo with 16 each, as Jaylah Lampley and Chikae Desdunes also hit double digits. With a day off before facing Ecuador and Chile, this international stage is building momentum and experience for the season ahead — all streamed live on FISU America’s YouTube channel.
