Rutgers Football’s Night of Shame | Rutgers Basketball News

Rutgers football took a brutal 37-21 loss to UMass — despite being heavy underdogs and playing on a low-viewership Thursday night — turning what should’ve been a forgettable game into a national embarrassment. Dave Portnoy even lost money betting on Rutgers and apologized, while Bleacher Report highlighted the bizarre twist: Rutgers paid UMass $1.5 million to play. Social media exploded with memes, including jokes about Rutgers’ “invention” of college football in 1869, QB burpees, and fireworks in an empty stadium. New Jersey and Sopranos references flooded the feed, with some joking the broadcast should just go black like the show’s finale. The Scarlet Knights are now under fire from fans and the football world — and recovery looks tough. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
