Rutgers Lands Congo Prospect Miteo | Rutgers Basketball News

Rutgers just landed a basketball gem: 17-year-old six-foot-ten forward-center Mervedi Miteo from the DRC, who’s already playing pro in Spain and representing his nation on the international stage. With nearly 12 points and 7 rebounds per game last season and experience in Liga Endesa, Miteo brings elite size, skill, and poise for his age. Coach Pikiell is thrilled, calling him the perfect international addition to their revamped frontcourt. His signing completes Rutgers’ roster overhaul for the 2026-27 season and signals a major leap in depth and talent for Big Ten competition — even closing the door on guard Lewis Duarte’s eligibility. Miteo’s arrival promises big things as the youngest player on the team, ready to compete and grow. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
