Rutgers vs Boston College on 9 11 Anniversary | Rutgers Scarlet News

Rutgers heads to Boston for a high-stakes road showdown against a rebuilding Boston College squad, with the game falling on the somber anniversary of 9/11 — a day that personally weighs on Rutgers, having lost 37 alumni in the attacks. It’s Rutgers’ first away game of the season and their most compelling nonconference test yet. Boston College, reeling from a brutal 2-10 campaign last year — including just one ACC win — is turning the page with a loaded transfer portal overhaul: dual-threat QB Mason McKenzie, explosive rushers Evan Dickens and Nolan Ray, and a revamped receiving corps. Defensively, they’re also injecting new blood, aiming to climb from their 128th-ranked total defense. Despite last year’s struggles, the Eagles are poised for improvement under new leadership, and their knack for close games — like their nail-biting 42-40 loss to Michigan State — could make this a tougher-than-expected matchup. Rutgers may be favored, but don’t count out the Eagles — this could be a thriller. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
