Ruth: A Study on Virtue - Vanessa Emswiler - Sunday, May 14, 2023

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  This past Sunday, Vanessa Emswiler taught from the book of Ruth. She shared that the virtues Ruth displayed toward her widowed mother-in-law embodied the character of Jesus.   Ruth's meekness, faithfulness, and other virtues paved the way for God's redemption plan in their stories.  Vanessa challenged us to allow the Lord to form these virtues in our lives and not choose our own way.  She also encouraged us to look to the Old Testament stories to shape our understanding of Jesus' teachings and life in the New Testament.  Let us take hold of these virtues as we become more like Christ.
