https://ruthwishengrad.com/ Confidence (this one has a powerful story I like to share) Time Out Smile Grab a Better Thought Bounce and Go Why I do what I do . . . As a coach dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and leaders, my journey began with a pivotal personal experience, which years later turned into my passion for helping others build resiliency and confidence. When I was growing up, I used to struggle a lot with low self-esteem and was often labeled as 'the weak one.' Little did I know, the decision to join a 3-month Outward Bound program at age 21 would profoundly impact the rest of my life. This program tested my limits, it really pushed me and, more importantly, became a major turning point for my physical and emotional growth. At the end of the first day, after an extremely challenging experience, that started to label me as “the weak one” again, I was in a desperate search to find a way to cope with tough situations. It was then that I remembered the simple, yet powerful mantra 'I think I can, I think I can,' from the story, 'The Little Engine That Could.' This mantra wasn't just a bunch of words; it became my go-to for getting through physical and emotional obstacles. It helped me get through my first-ever biathlon, pushing me beyond pain and doubt. It was more than just getting through a tough physical challenge; it was a game-changer in how I saw myself and what I could do. This change was just the start of my journey. I've worn a lot of hats over the years – teacher, editor, curriculum developer, graphic and web designer, and even singer-songwriter. Each role built on the next, giving me a solid base of experiences and proven approaches. I've been an invited speaker at conferences in Beijing and Hong Kong, launched my own company, and played a key role in several big product launches. Now, as a coach, I’ve integrated my varied experiences into my work with entrepreneurs and leaders. I've developed a multi-layered approach that delivers results. My goal is to help people shift from 'I can't' to 'I can,' guiding them to unlock their full potential. This process is based on my belief that true change happens when you get out of your head and into your heart. In my heart-first approach, I support people in connecting with their inner strength and encourage thinking that expands beyond their usual limits. This approach builds confidence and opens the door to many new possibilities. From my own experiences, I've learned about the powerful combination of heart and mind, especially when facing life's challenges. I bring this understanding to my work, helping others harness their inner strength and resilience to 'get things done.' My approach is all about changing the story from doubt to feeling empowered, making sure no one feels stuck because of the limits they think they have. My Passion Project My passion project, Self-Talk Songs™, is a reflection of my broader goal to help people with their passion projects. It represents my belief in the power of positivity, self-confidence and self-esteem, and the transformative impact it has on you and those around you. So, what is Self-Talk Songs™? It's a unique program combining positive messages, music, and movement to build self-confidence and self-esteem. It's based on our brain's ability to change and grow. You know, that thing called neuroplasticity? Well, it turns out that mixing music with moving around can really boost our mood, make us stronger, and help us feel more confident. What's my vision? My mission is to build a world of confidence! So that every kid (and inner kid) feels worthy, valued and loved. I was picked on, teased and had very low self-esteem. When I grew up I struggled with depression and chronic pain. With consistent dedication, determination and action, my healing journey led me to create Self-Talk Songs. Imagine starting this young ...
