In sieben Jahren will RWE im Tagebau Inden im Kreis Düren (NRW) die Kohleförderung einstellen. Bis dahin und darüber hinaus liefert eine Photovoltaikanlage mit integriertem Speicher Strom für mehr als 3.500 Haushalte. Das Projekt „RWE indeland Solarpark“ läuft bis zur Fertigstellung des Indesees, also bis der Tagebau geflutet wird.
