RWO Ep. 6: Ed Gitlin (The Marketer And The Underwriter)

During the height of the pandemic, the institutions that were lending were extremely scarce. The appetite for "non-QM" or hard money on the investor side dried up. The market makers that were still out there getting loan requests and the funding sources that were not affected soon found themselves having fewer places to sell loans and fewer people that we're able to qualify. This is the story of two such people who run their entities, a market maker and a Fund manager that met during the worst of times and made the best of it.
