from Bonsai Mirai: Asymmetry Hosted by Bonsai Mirai

You never know where a cup of coffee and a conversation amongst two friends can go. On a recent Saturday morning, following the final class session of the summer, Ryan Neil and longtime friend and Mirai student Ryan Clumpner sat down for a cup of coffee before R.C. returned home to San Diego. As they sat discussing a recent body of ceramic work R.C. brought to Mirai for feedback, the subject of third nature came up as a recent talking point in the modern art world. Unaware of the term and its meaning, but intrigued by a brief look at its definition, Ryan asked R.C. if the two could do an impromptu podcast on the subject and the obvious waterfall of cerebral thoughts it stimulated. What followed was a short, but intense capture of the type of behind the scenes conversation that consistently take place at Mirai amongst the talented people bringing critical thought and dialogue to the narrative of bonsai in this creative incubator. Most conversations go unrecorded, but Ryan jumped on this one and we thought we would share it with the community. Enjoy!

In the Company of Trees Tobin Mitnick Tobin Mitnick, aka JewsLoveTrees on TikTok and Instagram, has a deep love for--you guessed it--trees. With his signature unbridled enthusiasm and dry comedy, he'll show listeners that our weird and beautiful experiences with nature continue long after the hike ends. He'll feature weekly conversations with remarkable people both in and out of the nature space, solo segments like "This Week in Trees", and oddball excursions like "Bonsai Obituaries" and the listener Q and A, "Tree Therapy". "In the Company of Trees" will be the go-to podcast for any listener who likes to laugh on their mountain sojourns but also shed a tear while counting the rings on the tree stump out back.Thank you, trees.Email: [email protected] Make sure to subscribe, rate, review, and share "In the Company of Trees"! The Bedroom Breakdown is a short-form podcast about desire, intimacy, attraction, and the quiet power dynamics happening underneath modern relationships. Hosted by Alexander Black, this show looks at sex through psychology, pattern recognition, and the conversations most people avoid having out loud. This isn’t a how-to guide. It’s not therapy. And it’s definitely not sanitized. Each episode is 3–5 minutes. One idea at a time. We explore: • Why attraction doesn’t behave the way advice columns promise • The tension between fantasy and reality • Power, surrender, and emotional safety • Desire asymmetry • Why honesty feels riskier than silence • The patterns underneath what people say they want Sometimes the conversation will feel validating. The process is long form, like our conversations. Caring for a Bonsai is at times difficult and not immediately obvious where things are going, Just like the news, politics, current events. Explicit
