In 2013, he founded Xen Accounting, an entirely online accounting service. It was the first of its sort in Canada, and it was entirely virtual, with an emphasis on automation and a remote team of geeky CPAs, bookkeepers, and programmers. Because of the tech-oriented, scalable platform in place, Xen Accounting was acquired by a large European corporate services firm after only five years. Ryan founded Future Practice in 2018 to assist accountants in rapidly growing their own modern, scalable firm. In 2021, he launched Future Firm Accelerate, an online coaching program that combines online courses, online coaching, and an outstanding community of forward-thinking firm executives worldwide to help them get to their desired destination faster.
