Ryan Reynolds Sets Decade-High Career Milestone with Mayday

The Apple TV thriller Mayday, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh, has achieved a significant critical milestone by earning an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This rating represents the highest critical reception for a film starring Reynolds in the last ten years, surpassing several of his previous major releases. Directed by the team behind Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the story is described as an eighties-style buddy comedy centered on a pilot and an ex-KGB agent stranded in Russia. Reviewers have highlighted the strong chemistry between the two leads and the film's effective balance of humor and espionage. While some debate remains regarding how this score compares to his other projects, the film is being celebrated as a successful return to form for the actor.
