S.M.I.L.E. UNFILTERED PRESENTS NICKY CHULO

Honored for his work at Atlantic Records, Dreamville, Warner, Republic, Nye Agency and the list goes on and on, Nicky Chulo has made himself a staple in the design industry. This Haitian American creative found himself in the big city at a tender age but made sure that ageism was only going to be a part of his story but not his narrative. Having persistently emailed potential partners and clients, Chulo took closed doors and “no’s” as a sign to go harder. His willingness to not accept defeat won him a Grammy award as Art Director/Designer of Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” cover in 2018 at the peak of her career. Outside of his notable career, Chulo speaks on discovering and navigating black love, staying true to his roots in a digital driven generation and what he’s doing to make sure the reputation of the black man in the industry is upheld with integrity. This guy is a class act with a vast imagination who is destined to shift the way we consume graphic design and creative direction.
