S01 E05 How to Choose your FIRST JOB after College? | Simerjeet Singh #CareerGuidance Audio #CoachonCampus

from Simerjeet Singh Podcast · host Simerjeet Singh

A majority of us resign ourselves to the status quo when we have no choice in life. For example, if you are a final year student and have received a job offer from a startup, you would accept that without second thoughts because that's the only choice you have. But in cases where you have several job offers, which one do you choose? When you are spoilt for choice, what route do you take? This situation is addressed in this inspirational audio by Hindi motivational coach and keynote speaker Simerjeet Singh as a response to a question asked by one of the students at DAVIET college, Jalandhar.  Whenever you encounter a situation in life that offers too many choices, Simerjeet urges students to activate their critical thinking and analytical skills in order to assess each choice in its entirety. One must also not fall prey to 'grass is greener on the other side' mentality where second-guessing oneself could lead to lot of negative thoughts and self-doubt. Simerjeet also helps clarify what are the right parameters that one should consider while making big decisions in life. If one has the right parameters, the choices made will be closer to your life's true calling. Similarly, when you have to make a choice between a good salary at a startup or a not-so-good salary at a big brand MNC, Simerjeet elaborates as an example, how to go about exercising critical thinking to make the choice that resonates best with one's true being.
