S01 E08 Whether SUCCESS depends on Luck or Hard Work? | Why Intelligent Students Lag Behind? | Simerjeet Singh Audios

from Simerjeet Singh Podcast · host Simerjeet Singh

What's your opinion? Does success depend on luck or hard work? Why do intelligent students fail or lag behind? This Coach On Campus episode tackles the question, why do average students succeed and intelligent students struggle in life? Is success about luck or hard work? If success were really the fruit of handwork and perseverance, can an average student become successful?  Simerjeet Singh motivational speaker answers this career guidance question by redefining the labels of average student vs intelligent. Why do intelligent students lag behind in job interviews? At the outset, a lot of us define our world views by using labels - thin, fat, intelligent, smart, average, dumb, rich, poor, middle class, etc. He discusses intelligent students in India, intelligent students vs weak students and what you need luck or hard work for success. However, this is a limiting belief and is highly detrimental to the success of any individual whether the labels are for your own self, or for others, labels trap you inside a box beyond which your mind refuses to see/think clearly.  Simerjeet also clarifies on the culture of memorization that takes precedence in our education system but holds limited intrinsic value when it comes to interviews - where a lot of other skills and factors come into play. He also busts myths on what makes a person intelligent or average and encourages everyone to see themselves and others holistically and not in a fragmented manner.  This series of youth motivation audios have been shot at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar early this year with focus on motivating students to learn to look beyond limiting self beliefs and go for their true potential. The series answers several questions that were posed by DAVIET students on career, education, profession and success.
