n this episode, we were honored to sit down with a true basketball visionary, Dwayne Vigilence, the head coach of the Keyano Huskies women's basketball team. Dwayne is not just a coach but a driving force behind the evolution and resurgence of basketball in the vibrant community of Fort McMurray. His passion for the game and commitment to fostering inclusivity is truly inspiring. As the chair for the ACAC EDI committee (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion), Dwayne is leading the charge in educating ACAC student-athletes and staff about EDI topics. His mission? To break down discriminatory barriers and promote social inclusion within the realm of sports. The ACAC EDI committee is hard at work, implementing numerous educational initiatives that promise to reshape the landscape of athletics for the better. But that's not all! We also had the pleasure of chatting with one of the best players in ACAC basketball, Cooper Ward of the Medicine Hat Rattlers Men's Basketball team. As he enters his fourth year of play, we explored Cooper's game, his journey thus far, and what the future holds for this exciting young talent.
