S01E08 - Eyes Without A Face
from The Horror Podcast Hosted by Monster House, LLC
My old friend Mike Harris returns to talk about a beautiful and disturbing French film from 1960 - Eyes Without A Face. (AMZ Affiliate Link) Directed by Georges Franju Pierre Brasseur as Dr Génessier Alida Valli as Louise, the assistant (more on this in our Suspiria coverage) and Yvette Etiévant as the daughter in the expressionless mask... The filming locations for the "clinic" and the "residence" were both outside of Paris, but 9 miles away from each other. Music by Maurice Jarre (father of Jean-Michel Jarre but Maurice left Jean-Michel's mother in France when he was only a lad, and later even disinherited JMJ from his estate!) View of the "clinic" in the time of the movie and today: Make Your Case - The Flesh & The Fiends (1960) - Affiliate Link
