S01E11 - South Side Shuffle
from Book Guys Show
Episode 011... though I say 012 throughout the show... sun stroke, I tell you! Wear a hat, folks! This week we are recording on location from The South Side Shuffle, a United States Southern and Blues festival that happens every year inside Memorial Park by the Credit River in Port Credit, Ontario, Canada! We interview Donna and Alex Carrick, local authors about their books and more. Paul recommends a new way to read books on iOS called “Book Track” and gives you some book news, too! Stick around for the end where I attempt to play the harmonica part from DIRTY OLD TOWN one of my favorite songs… its a tragedy, really! BROKEN harmonica!!! Just like my guitar! Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Your host: Paul “The Book Guy” Alves Special Thanks To: The Mississippi Queen for providing our meals for the day. You can check out her site at http://www.mississippiqueenfoods.com The organizers of the South Side Shuffle. We hope to return next year in a bigger way! What a wonderful festival, just a pleasure to be there. Geoff Smith For creating our theme song and some of our jingles! Greg Otte and Chris Jagr for doing “God’s Work” this weekend. I am so happy you two did what you did instead of recording the podcast and hope you return next week. It’s hard doing this alone!Released September 12th, 2011 Find out more at https://bookguys.pinecast.co Send us your feedback online: https://pinecast.com/feedback/bookguys/0bbb2978-e495-479c-9bff-de68c3eb4b59
