S01E17 A Church Interrupted Me With Dan Hazen

from Punk Theology Podcast · host Russ Shaw

Episode 17 The Church that interrupted me. Is there value in the religious systems and institutions in the 21st-century? In around 2003 A religious institution known as Allen Creek Community Church interrupted my (Russ Shaw's) misfit heart during a dim, smoky and troublesome time in my life. during the first counseling session this man a Pastor named Dan Hazen dropped the F bomb. What!? But me, I remember letting my guard down in that moment. Thinking and feeling "oh we can actually talk like normal men without the religious titles and BS? Actually talk like normal human beings?" I wasn't looking for a God, I wasn't expecting some miracle to fix me and I certainly wasn't faking like I had it all together. This man changed my Life. Or should I say God heard my plea and used this man to interrupt my path of self-destruction when I didn't even wanna believe God cares? PunkTheology.com
