Summary

In David Bruckner's chilling reimagining of Clive Barker's classic, a young woman named Riley come across a mysterious puzzle box with her boyfriend. Driven by curiosity and a desperate need to escape her addiction-plagued life, Riley solves the puzzle, unaware of the nightmarish consequences. The box summons the Cenobites, a sadistic order of beings from a dimension of pain and suffering, led by the iconic Pinhead with his rows of pins driven into his skull. Riley soon finds herself trapped in a waking nightmare, tormented by the Cenobites and haunted by the secrets of her brother's past. As she struggles to survive, she must confront the darkness within herself and learn the true meaning of pleasure and pain. Bruckner's Hellraiser is a visually stunning and gruesomely inventive film that stays true to the spirit of the original while offering a fresh and terrifying take on the Cenobite mythos.
