Ci sono diverse problematiche che è necessario affrontare prima di avvicinare lo studio della mitologia e della Tradizione dei popoli Norreni, e diverse incomprensioni fondamentali su termini che è opportuno chiarire (fra cui il fatto che "vichingo" identifica una professione, e non un'etnia). Questo podcast ci è stato chiesto da molto tempo, così come di approfondire aspetti specifici della Tradizione magico-religiosa dei popoli del Nord. Abbiamo sempre procrastinato, ritenendo necessario frammentare l'argomento per non creare incomprensioni. Con questo podcast ci prefiggiamo lo scopo di iniziare a chiarire alcuni aspetti, fra cui il ruolo dell'Edda e il coinvolgimento politico di Snorri nel conflitto fra Islanda e Regno di Norvegia (e il suo ruolo prima da politico, che da storico), accenni riguardo alla funzione tripartita degli Dei come chiarito da Dumezil e nozioni storiche utili a creare un primo quadro di riferimento generale.
