In this episode, Kwame speaks to Elizabeth, a Nigerian edtech entrepreneur leveraging technology to provide culturally relevant education to children in their local language, from numeracy to literacy to fashion. Her company, Zenafri, has developed a series of mobile apps that teach toddlers and young children basic numeracy and literacy in their language, and narrate original stories based on traditional African folklore, among others. Elizabeth has won several awards, including the Commonwealth Secretary-General's Innovation for Sustainable Development Award, Johnson and Johnson Champions of Science Africa, Women in Africa Education Laureate, among others.
