No phenomenon can justify political control more than religion can. History has proven that with the "nobles" and the "anointed". Some believe it is the number 1 tool for mind control and others believe it is one of the inalienable pillars of society.  16 of the 20 poorest nations in the world are in Africa and yet we are arguably the most religious continent. However, there are still nations like the United States of America or the United Arab Emirates who are deeply religious and yet, are still well advanced in the development matrix. Are they anomalies?
