S03 E04 - Pippa Milne

from When Harri Met Sally - A Photography Podcast · host whmspod

This week in the pod suite we have the incredible Pippa Milne in the hot seat.  Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, Pippa is a writer and curator based in Naarm/Melbourne. She is currently a curator with Art Museums, University of Melbourne and recently worked on A velvet ant, a flower and a bird by Chus Martínez at the Potter Museum of Art. Previously Pippa was Associate Curator for PHOTO Australia, with whom she went to Les Rencontres d'Arles with the exhibition On Country: photography from Australia. Previous positions to this have been Senior Curator for Museum of Australian Photography (previously MGA), Curator for Centre for Contemporary Photography and Associate Curator, International, for QAG|Goma, Queensland. This is such a wonderful conversation with the incredibly articulate and intelligent Pippa, who not so quietly, Harriet could not stop fan girl-ing over! And we're happy to let you know that Pippa has another contract with the University, so she'll be working on more curatorial projects there. Hooray! To our incredible sponsors RACV, Nikon Australia, Ted’s Cameras, Collarts and A&L Artistic Framers, thank you for all the support you have shown us. We couldn’t do it without you!
