Mental disorders are common, but widely misunderstood. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, about one in four adults suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder each year. You may see behavior or performance signs that suggest an employee has a mental health problem. As an employer, you have a responsibility both to the individual and the organization to take action if you suspect that this is the case.
