Serena Dracis counts herself fortunate to have worked in two exciting and dynamic fields, animals and healthcare, before moving on to follow a dream she’s had since childhood - writing.Knowing early on she wanted a career with animals Serena worked in veterinary clinics and pet stores through her early years. She volunteered at a local zoo while earning her Bachelor’s in Biology, then transitioned into a career as a professional animal trainer and educator in zoos and aquariums in Southern California.After suffering a TBI, she switched gears and changed careers, moving to Seattle and becoming a nurse. There she met the love of her life, a rock-and-roll bass player, and in the Pacific Northwest she stayed. The paranormal has been a constant presence throughout Serena’s life. Ghosts, UFO sightings, and her own psychic abilities led her to a deep dive into the paranormal. Through literature review and in-person training with notable shamanic practitioners, mediums, and Reiki Master Teachers, Serena has spent her life exploring the paranormal and consciousness. She is a Reiki-Master Teacher, a medium, psychopomp and animal communicator.She now writes about her personal psychic journeys, and has published two books on psychic development. Her third, Ghosts I’ve Known: How I Learned to Live With the Dead details her development as a medium and some of the many spirits she’s encountered.
