Giulio wants to bring the circular economy model further into the mainstream and help brands and consumers make responsible choices about clothing. Today, Aquafil is recognized as a sustainability leader company, and an innovator within the synthetic textile industry.Bonazzi was honoured with Ernst & Young’s 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the industrial products category for his entrepreneurial excellence and leadership ability in expanding Aquafil SpA globally. ECONYL® was launched and in 2014 the company won the most prestigious award in Germany dedicated to sustainability- specifically for the development of a regeneration system that allows Aquafil to transform waste into regenerated ECONYL® fibre.
