S05E08 KBTH Update

In this episode, hosts Mohannad, Prasanth and Jason catch up with Bernard "Ben" Gyimah from Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital @KBTH_GH in Accra Ghana, site of the Global Ambassador program sponsored by @SIIM_Tweets and @RADAIDIntl. Last we heard Ben and Jason discuss the implementation of a PACS upgrade and RIS implementation with @IBMWatsonHealth. Fast-forwarding almost 3 years since our last meetup, Ben discusses the challenges of integrating with a new national EMR, establishing links with Ghana's national identification initiatives and other health information entities. The discussion evoked quite a bit of nostalgia from both Jason and Ben, who reflected on how much progress has been made, highlighting some of the innovative solutions used at the hospital when faced with limited resources.
