Original conversation was recorded: 4th January 2019 Gerry Leonard Legendary producer/guitarist Gerry Leonard (David Bowie/Suzanne Vega/ Laurie Anderson/Cyndi Lauper/Avril Lavigne ) performs a prayer of hope for us living through these divided times. Recorded live at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC after the horrible tragedy in Charlottesville, VA, August 12th, 2017. “Pray-Er” has won 3 film awards and has screened in NYC multiple times and Lagos, Nigeria. Joeann Calabrese Award-winning, NYC-based filmmaker Joeann Calabrese started her filmmaking career while working at MTV Networks as a technical director. She then moved to the historic Kaufman Astoria Studios while completing graduate studies at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Her films are created in a documentary/educational style and have been screened in NYC, London, Berlin, The Russian Federation and Lagos, Nigeria. She has received 13 film awards since 2017. Pray-Er (the song) is written and composed by legendary guitarist/producer Gerry Leonard.
