Albuquerque Police Department detectives have made an arrest in one of two homicides they investigated on Sunday.  Sentencing has finally been set for the two women charged in Victoria Marten’s murder.  Michelle Martens has plead guilty to child abuse resulting in death and tampering with evidence will be sentenced July 9, 2021 she faces 12-15 years in prison. Alleged groper Gov. MLG funnels over $62K in hush money to ex-staffer in settlement.  Scott Elder is slated to run Albuquerque Public Schools for at least three years, and he will continue to make $225,000 annually for now with a host of benefits. Data paints bleak picture of NM.  In compiling the HSD 2021 Data Book, the department sought to provide a comprehensive, data-driven summary of social, economic and health statistics for New Mexico, with specific county-by-county metrics and comparisons to national measurements where applicable.
