S1 E1 The TIM PRESTWICH Band are opening the COLD CHISEL By The C Jan 4th, 2020.

My very first podcast interview is with Jason "Tim" Prestwich. The Tim Prestwich Band, will once again be opening for Cold Chisel, when Chisel return home to Adelaide. I first met Tim when I went to see Wild Card play, my friend Bron was singing in Tim’s band. Bron enjoyed having a friend in the audience, and I loved finally being able to go out and see bands again. My older children were capable of heating up their dinner without burning the house down. So when my youngest was at his father’s for the weekend, I would go with Bron to her gig, I had no choice, even if I did say no she would still come get me! And that’s how I got to know the Tim Prestwich Band family. I contacted Tim to see if he would be interested in some free publicity, I was considering adding interviews to the Band it About Facebook page, but Sue Hedleys magazine had that covered. I enjoy listening to podcasts, I listen to many it’s how I discover and learn about things of interest. I decided that I wanted to start my own podcast and Tim had a major gig to open in under a fortnight. I asked Tim if he would like to do an interview with me, I had thought of a way that I could still help to promote live music without having to go out all the time. Going to lots of gigs gets expensive, I wasn’t going out drinking and partying when I started Band It About, I was going out alone to see bands so that I could film them Bron quit the band and replaced it with a partner. I did the same when I got married, I stopped being an actor because my husband was incapable of remaining sober long enough to watch our kids. The absence was longer than planned, I left him the family home, took the kids, and got a full time job so that I could afford to raise them myself. The reason for the background is that I never included it, I forgot that you didn’t know me yet. Tim and I have a lot of laughs in this interview because we know of each other’s stories. I was talking to a friend about his upcoming show, our friendship turned this interview into a lot more than that. I am forever grateful to Tim for agreeing to chat about his family with me. Band It About podcast was born. Thank you Bron for leaving your message, it helped to remind me that we always laughed, and I still do when I’m happy.
