On this episode of the CVCS Baseball Podcast, head coach Clemente Bonilla talks to Brian Rauh. Brian is a right-handed pitcher who graduated from Laguna Hills High School in 2009 before going on to pitch at Chapman University. Over three seasons at Chapman, he posted a 1.78 ERA and a 30-1 record, recording 355 strikeouts, 13 complete games, five saves, and keeping hitters to a .170 average. During his junior year, Brian was voted Team Captain and led his team to a second place finish in the 2011 NCAA DIII College World Series. In 2012, Brian was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round of the MLB Draft. He pitched in the Minor Leagues for five years, topping out at AA Harrisburg, before a string of injuries forced an early retirement. Brian helped coach CVCS Baseball for several years, and today, Brian owns and operates B-Rauhty Baseball, where he and other professional baseball players train young athletes to reach their full potential.
