Do you find yourself starting a new projection, passion or goal only to feel the fire burn out within a few days or weeks? It can be so fun to imagine the things we want to do, chase or dream for our lives, and we start with such enthusiasm, but often that fades within a short time and we never accomplish the thing we set out to. What the heck is happening here? Is the goal any less desirable or attainable a few days in? Heck no girl - you can do achieve ANYTHING. What we lack in general in our society is grit. The definition of grit is the combination of passion and perseverance over the long term. In this world of instant gratification, instant feedback and comparison we have collectively lost our ability to stick with something. If we don't see results immediately we lose momentum and get discouraged. We give up early and easily - and often we actually blame ourselves or develop a story that we are not enough in some way.
