S1:E30 - The Revivalists - Genesis Chapter 43
from Mighty People Garden Hosted by Eva Fulton
Join Eva and Darrell this week as we cover Genesis Chapter 43. In this segment we find that Joseph's brothers return to Egypt for more grain. Understanding the dire situation for his sons and the need to also send Benjamin (Rachel's other son), he sends his sons for grain bearing gifts and silver. They are greeted at Joseph's home and dine with him - all brothers in a row by birth. The moral context of this episode is Joseph showing his personal way of dealing with the moral injury of what his brothers done. He goes into his room and wept. Only after he calms down and washes his face does he return to converse with them and find out how his father is doing. Another moral context of this episode is Eva sharing some news about her "trailer story". After a weekend of camping and counseling, both Eva and her guest encounter a woman on the side of the road with her own dilemma - the trailer detached from her truck! But we helped her get on her way and it was the perfect ending to a great weekend! #veterans #veteranpodcast #moralinjury #moralhealing #moralrecovery #trauma #revivalists
