Dr. Alexandre B. de Moura claims that the defendants initiated a frivolous RICO action against him and the New York Spine Institute, then publicly disseminated false and damaging statements through social media and other channels, accusing him of participating in a "massive fraud scheme." On the other side, we have The Willis Law Group, who in response, argues that de Moura's lawsuit is a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP), asserting that their statements are protected by litigation privilege and relate to matters of public concern, namely a widespread "fraudemic" in workers' compensation, and are thus requesting the case's dismissal with attorney's fees.Welcome to the debate - what do you think?Support the show
