S1. Ep. 24: Developing An Innovator's Mindset (With Adam Malofsky)
from Specified: Building Materials & Construction Growth Podcast · host Tatsuya Nakagawa
Adam Malofsky of Elemence Advisors in Cincinnati is a man with so many ideas they just flow from his brain. He’s been an innovator all his life and continues to be enthusiastic about finding new ways to streamline, create, and develop new and old products for an ever-changing universe. His first degree (yes, his first of several) is in chemical engineering, so most of his companies concentrated on performance chemicals, polymers and other materials for the building and construction industry, among other fields. His current company, Elemence Advisors, takes a multi-dimensional consultative approach to help customers find the new way to do things, the lowest cost, and the fastest path to fruition. He and his team assess the client’s needs and develop a meticulous presentation that may include a sample product, a cost analysis, and an outline on how to eliminate risk and how the company benefits. To would-be innovators his advice is to remain grounded but open to all experiences. After all, an open mind can lead to a new viewpoint and new ideas. Having a good foundation in your area is the building block to create new opportunities. At the same time, it’s important to have a wide range of interests (Malofsky’s interests include baking) and curiosity. Finally, don’t hesitate to find people who have the talents and tools needed to achieve goals and dreams and get them excited. Please reach out if you have any feedback or questions. Enjoy!
