Shayla was the recipient of the 2022 Next Generation Pharmacist – Technician of the Year award. Shayla is a CPhT at Avita Specialty Pharmacy in Austin, TX. During the interview, Shayla discusses her pathway to having a technician career, and how her current role brings value and provides high quality care to the patients she serves. Shayla also provides some advice to those who want to become a pharmacy technician, as well as technicians who want to take on more roles and responsibilities.
