He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame Voting Committee and a five-time Boxing Writers Association of America award recipient, with experience covering fights around the world and contributing to major pay-per-view events. Before focusing full-time on sports media, O'Hara worked as a radio news anchor and spent several years in the private security industry. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, he ultimately turned down a career in intelligence to pursue sports journalism — a decision he says he's never regretted.
