Warden Willy arrives on Earth in pursuit of the Black Wizard. He meets Sir Marbles and his long-lost brother Buff Barry Struff, and they ride up Mt Chubadub to investigate the Black Wizard's cave. Meanwhile the Black Wizard visits a skilled engineer named Didier de Bonchance Rouget IV and hypnotises him into building a submarine with the help of Ludiloo. By the time Sir Marbles reaches the cave, the Black Wizard is long gone.
