We're back in to Build Home Hope. And welcome to another episode of Radio Rebellion, Star Wars, Brought Yes and Your Host, I'll be talking to you on end thank you for giving us on another Saturday, Star Wars Saturday, we're back at a regular time, a regular day, I don't want to last, I don't know, when I'm here with our co-host, our friend Otty, Otty, how are you doing today? Good, I'm here with my dog, taking a nap. Oh man, I would love to be taking a nap today, it's Saturday and I woke up just like it was a workday because kids have activities which we love going to but they are very early in the morning sometimes.
I also woke up early because my wife is at work, she was at the hospital and her alarm went off and I woke up like I was like okay let me make the coffee, I sat down with my cup of coffee and time kept going on and she wouldn't come out of the room. And I was like, when do you have to go in? She's like, oh I got 11 but I just accidentally put it earlier, I was like okay. Oh man, I've done that before when we have like spring break, it's starting over here, I've got about it always fun, I got to put the alarm, no we don't need to wake up at 6 anymore.
Okay, I have an American culture around. What is it with spring break? It lasts from some people, it's like late February to like April, like I was like. I guess every state and even inside Florida is like my school boards or whatever, like each county has its own different things so right now for us, it's starting on Monday but not other places that already have them or they'll have it on the other month.
I don't know. The thing for me is that it sucks because I travel the most between Puerto Rico and Florida which are two hot destinations for spring break. So like I get to the Puerto Rico airport, it's a mess, then I get to the Florida though, then when I leave I get to the Florida airport, it's a mess, I get to the homeless. So I'm like that old guy.
And the Puerto Rico gets so full like that. Yeah, and what are they going over here? It's like cracking down on those visitors coming for spring break, putting the smackdown and the police in every corner and like, slipping off one of the beach, who cares if they get drunk. Try not to get drunk.
That's not sure not to hurt anyone. But anyway, if you're here, thanks for joining us. If it's your first time, make sure you subscribe to our channel. Comment down below if you're watching this later on the replay.
I like this video with thumbs up. And if you're listening to the audio podcast, please don't look out the window. I mean you can look out the window while you're listening to your podcast and give us a five-star rating and review and your dog is contemplating his life looks like it. Her life.
Sorry, I apologize to her. She's kind of a guard dog, so she's always like, okay, so my dogs, they're not guard dogs. No bar, but it's all bar, no bite. And if we go out through the window curtain, like, where are you?
She's a guard dog, but she's terrified of everything. Like wind terrifies her. No, she's just stretching in the background. Sorry for people listening on the podcast, you can't see.
You're stretching. We're just gonna follow your dog for the next 45 minutes and see what happens. I mean, she's very interesting. She is.
I'll say, dude, I have a golden retriever. I don't think he's a golden retriever. They told us it's like 105 pounds. The wind, rain, any loud noise is under the bed.
Scared. We're gonna give him medicine when it's fireworks. And like, come on, you're a big guy. Surprisingly, she's not afraid of fireworks or thunder.
She's afraid of everything else. Like in Puerto Rico, when, you know, it goes crazy with the fireworks. Yeah, not careless. All right, with that, we'll go ahead.
And if you guys already, I'm not ready. Let's talk Star Wars and Star Wars news. Star Wars news. All right.
Okay. A little bit of Star Wars news. Not so much, but just a little for people out there. I remember, probably about three weeks ago, everyone's like, where's the Andor trailer?
The show is coming out in two months. There's no promotion. What's going on? And now it's everywhere.
We got trailers. We got special look feature reds. We got interviews. We got Tony Delroy doing a live stream on YouTube.
And season one, we joined. He didn't do anything. And now it's everywhere. They got him high and drunk to be.
Do you feel the hype for season two of Andor starting to be old? Honestly, no. I've been busy with a lot of things. So no, I was telling you, like, I wasn't sure what I had seen or haven't seen.
But I'm excited for Andor. That's what matters. We talked about the trailer last time we did a show a couple of weeks ago. Then about a week afterwards, they released this behind the scenes kind of special feature red.
I don't know about two minute thing. A lot of new images. Not interviews are a couple of commentaries from the cast. Those are always interesting and very sometimes they're better than the trailer.
I don't know. It's a different way to look at the show. I remember when Rogue One was coming out, they gave one. We saw a bunch of the people, characters and aliens we were going to see on Jella.
And got a lot of people talking. So I think this feature red was very similar. Plus we got confirmation against the Gorn massacre. That we're going to see the Gorn massacre.
That was freaking out. That would be cool to tie to rebels and what Moatma says. That little speech to the Senate or to Papa. I can't remember.
I was reading that in Legends. The massacre was that Tarkin landed. That's a Star Destroyer. A bunch of people.
Wow. So I don't know about Legends. I barely remember the legal mention in Rebels. I know everyone talks about it.
But in an interview, I was going to leave it for later. In an interview that Tony Giro gave to our friend Maggie Love with Aaron Collider, he's asked about the Gorn, is it? The Gorn massacre. He talks about how there's, yeah, it is in canon, but we really don't know too much about it.
He'll get a chance to set the record straight. It'll be fun. I don't say fun when we talk about massacres. But it's a big thing in Star Wars and I guess Bush has Moatma to leave the Senate.
Yeah, I don't remember. They go into details. But for me, that's like that moment. Yeah.
Moatma over the line. I see we got a comment. Who's there in the chat? I forget.
Oh, wait. Hello there, gentlemen. April is going to be a crazy fun month for us fans. That's definitely true, Brendan.
But probably what I'm most excited about is that our friend Scotty gets to do his amazing presentation. Dude, I found out so funny that he's going to do this with a coin. I saw a member saying that. He's really all like, this is bad shit crazy.
That's someone like went to the troll to do this. And the fact that he's going to do it in celebration. I think he's awesome. When it's great that we've gotten a chance to meet a lot of people in this space and now a lot of them are having their own panel celebration.
Our friends from trial, the first one, last celebration. Now a bunch of people that we know are going to have that opportunity. It's always fun to see that. Oh, I know that person.
It's cool that they're going to talk about something they love so much. So yeah, so the big thing this week relating to Andrew was this live stream that they were going to do. I look back at season one with Tony Gilroy moderated by Ash Crossen and they brought out a couple of the cast like Adriana was there, Big Scaling, Genevieve O'Reilly and then Duncan Pah, who plays Melche was also there. So they came in at different points.
They talk about the characters, some of the favorite scenes from season one. Of course they were asked, what can we expect about season two and they were very cagey about it, which is kind of understandable. Something they broke down a couple of the scenes. So it's fun to see Tony Gilroy first doing props not just to the actors but to the writers.
There was one part about the photography director, the cinematographer. He blocked a scene in that first scene when Big's when we beat Big's and she's talking to Andrew in her shop, that way he blocked the scene and that they built that they only used for that one scene but all the amount of detail that went into just constructing a set for one, two-minute scene. So it was great to see from his point of view how everything kind of gets connected. So that was a little bit fun.
Cool thing that they said is that we're going to see more of the relationship between Big's and Cassian. We were of course in season one but it's excited to see where we go after everything she went through in season one and of course what Cassian went through to now see where the relationship goes in season two. Is that something you can explore? Yeah, that's definitely something I want more of and happy to hear that they're going for because we do know they have as you mentioned we do know they have a close relationship but we don't really see it much.
They're separated throughout like most of the show. Yeah. They separated in the first mark and then they get back together the last one but she's basically like a recovering shell of a woman. Yeah.
So that's definitely something I was looking forward to. She's part of the weekend so of course. Yeah, of course. I'm going to give you a press for that.
I know a cool thing that Tony Giro talked about, talk about set production and production design concept art and all this stuff is how they have to go through all that even before they start writing the scripts for each episode. They have to create all these places they're going to be filming and creating the back stories even before they start writing the scripts which is a way that sometimes people don't think about how movie or TV production works. I cannot get frustrated when people when there's concept art that leaks or books come out. Oh look what someone did as a concept art for the first awakens and then when you start filming it doesn't go that way.
We were going to get this too. Yeah, we were wrong. No, they have to create all these things and figure out how that works into the show or the movie. So it's great to hear from the people actually doing the show that they have to do all these missing back work first before even writing that story.
So it's cool to listen or to learn from that. Yeah. We're going to be there April 22nd, may the first be with you. Okay.
And now she's not going to pass there. Someone that we're not felt that now she's such an important part in season one and I was going to move to season two. He says he's actually should have been very important for what we see in Rock one. So very cool to see that.
Poor now she. Sorry about that man walking. That was something that in that collider interview Tony Giro talked about how we know where all the characters in Rogue one ends. We know that and or as this I think probably his Messiah is Jesus moment.
We know he's not going to die. He's going to be fine all the way to rock one. But everyone else apart from hell shit like everyone else we don't know what's going to happen. So it's going to be a very emotional journey for those quote unquote secondary characters or background not background secondary characters.
So it's going to be fun to see all that. Yeah. So in that collider interview another thing and it's it was as more or less out any connection between current political events are not on purpose or as far as this story. I mess it on my own notes.
So we know that Rogue one and if we watch and then of course we see some two and everything that's going on in the actual landscape right now people are going to start making their connection to this is the reporting competitive or this is American politics or Trump or whatever. Same as a lot of people in my cell phone we were really in the empire. We're like oh so frustrated this is what's going on right now. And the author Alexander Fris and this is just history something that we'll go through over and over again.
So he kind of also said that there's really not any connection to political landscape just the way that as a historian or someone that's told his history. It just shows how it repeats itself. And he said we write so far in advance. I said this before I've been a student of history as an amateur and they know table historian all this time and it's not in the revolution and not writing some people being swept up into events that weren't ready for and people assuming heroic roles that they have never anticipated.
So it's not trying to run with anything. So now we'll make the connection with oh this is exactly what's happening now. But for the people working on it it's like it's bigger than that. It's not this one moment in calculating time.
It's something that's been happening for decades, years and centuries. Someone like you that likes all these political stuff. Do you react listening to this? I mean it's the same frustration that I have and I have mentioned it here.
I'm like how could they guess this is exactly this has happened a trillion times before. And what I was going to say is like you should be concerned that Star Wars is mimicking the real life. You should be concerned that the president is mimicking the empire and stuff. And because of that very same thing it's even before like everything that's happening now in the US.
If you go to what the empire was we never saw it rise to power. But well we actually did that whole thing in revenge. So they said how many times do people share that quote of Fatme? This is how Liberty dies with Thundra's applause and then being like oh my god 15 years later not 20 years later this happened.
Because we got into Cuba with Thundra's applause people wanted him to come in. Same with Venezuela. Everyone. That's like when people say how can they forget about the jail it was only 20 years ago.
They're eliminating everything has to do with what they call the DI which is if you're not a white male you're going to be taking out the history books. It's happening right now. It's not going to take 20 years for people to forget. Oh yeah that's a scary airman.
They did something important. They know that gay and all this important history is like getting swept away. It's going to happen. That's not really what it's kind of.
I think a lot about like when people be like oh 19 years that's too much change like that happened there. Think about when Obama won that was what 13 years ago. Whatever it was. I cannot right now.
If you were a liberal like I was like starting to form my political ideals and then the Affordable Care Act passes and then he wins again. We thought the US was on track to become a socialist nation. I got free health care free college and everyone wanted that and literally like eight years later. No we're going back to the spectrum then Biden wins and we're like okay we crisis averted.
No here it is bigger better or more. People change a lot and things are very fast. Yeah. Thinking about the quote and how things in the Senate change.
It's looking to happen yesterday in that vote. How people are supposed to be on the right side. Right. The right side of political.
Don't get me started because I can talk about this for an hour. I know and I won't because we got a little bit early. But it's something that it happens so fast when you think that there is some opposition that no it's going to get a little bit quickly and it's not just today. If everything gets fixed tomorrow for people like us in 20 years for example in my comeback and we'll be right here.
Unfortunately we'll keep going. Without the Department of Education and Education General. I was going to mention something that's really good. I forgot to ask.
We'll take a quick break about Andrew. How's your reading? Have you been reading the other way? I brought tears of the name with me.
I have not opened it for once. But thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot I had it. I was sitting in the sofa like I have nothing to do.
It's nothing to do. Tomorrow is my wife also work. So I'll probably. Right.
Are you like halfway at least? Do you even know? I'll do content. I won't be here next week.
So you have to talk about this for another week. You got about two weeks. Anyway, thanks to the Random House for sending me an advance copy of Wayseeker. I'll be happy to start reading that one.
What is that about coming out? I think it's early May. So I'm not rushing because we still have into the light before that. I think the embargo drops late in April.
So I'm not rushing. Wayseeker a little bit more in Dara, a little bit more in Ezra. I'm trying to get just in Ireland here. So that'll be great.
Oh, dude. If you do that, I would love to talk to. Yeah. All right.
So anyway, back to Andrew and Gilroy. We already mentioned a little bit of the government massacre. But he says there's also a bit of confusion about the government massacre and what is the government massacre. There's a lot of confusion within Canon.
So it was an opportunity to rebuild in a really significant way. It's a very significant part of our show that can do a lot of different things for us. Quite honestly, it's very expensive to build. So we really want to use it as much as possible.
So it carries over five different episodes. So the government massacre part is going to be like almost half the shows going to be involved around it, probably the aftermath of it. So I don't know. I'm starting to fall more in line with these three episodes dropped that they're doing to be able to get everything at once for that whole year.
I'm liking it, man. I'm liking the idea of the. I'm not sure if I love it for like every show, but for this one because of the format, I think it's pretty cool. I still have no idea how I'm going to review it.
That's something I mentioned. I feel sorry for protesters. I don't. We'll figure out our own schedule as we want to.
We don't need to. I know you'll do your show early in the morning then sorry for you. There's a matter. We don't need to drop it.
We'll finish it out. We know that Cas and I K2 are going to meet finally say this first meeting between Cas and I K2 not happening during season one. There are a lot of people were angry about it. He said that Disney, the people at Disney were kind of not happy about it, but there was a reason for it.
A really, really good reason for it. So that's not a big moment that we're all waiting for. I know it happened in the comics and we're going to throw that in the trash. I want to see how it goes.
I'm very excited to see where it goes. I have no memory of that comic. So I couldn't act here. It's like a one shot.
It's like just one comic and I was like, I don't know if it was like a free comic book that you think or something. Okay. I know it read it. I saw the panel as well.
All right. I'm glad they confirmed the livestream like I'm on the advance because every single year we do the whole no and inside the source told me no, they usually haven't linked already. No, they're not doing it because of okay. They confirmed like I always roll my eyes because I've been watching the livestream for like 10 years now.
So I know they're going to do it, but like every single year, it's the same problem. Yeah. Just wait that day before that day that not on that day when we won't be able to see the Mando and Grogu panel live and people saying I would pay $5 on Disney Plus to stream this like which I understand I'll be there right there with you. We don't need to keep repeating this.
But those posts will be out there. I think they'll release if I think they'll show a trailer for Mando and I think they'll release it for everyone. I don't know if the whole panel but I'm pretty sure they're going to be. I mean, we'll get the potato camps.
Are you ready? I saw you're posted ready for couch guns. I'll be there. I took your advice.
I'll be here watching live. I didn't even have to take the Friday off because it's good for me. I didn't even have to take the Friday off because it's good Friday. Oh, that end of the first of January is like the holiday we're going to be doing all this anything.
It's your spring break over there. Exactly. It's going to be pretty cool. I'm excited.
We'll have shows on Friday. We'll do our show on Saturday. We might do our show on Sunday. I'm not sure.
Probably. What time is in Japan? I think it's like 12 hours. Nice not to work with.
I don't know. Keep talking. I can do that. Some panels for celebration were released.
A couple of days ago, I think Wednesday or Thursday or Thursday a bunch more were confirmed. Some very big panels and cool panels were announced. Also some amazing panels. We'll jump to those at the end.
But I'll tell you at least the ones that stood up for me. We already mentioned Friday's going to be the pack day. The Mandalorian and Grogo panel is apparently going to be the first one right at 10. I'm guessing.
It's a day in. I don't know if it's 10 AM in Japan or 10 AM over here. It's probably Japan. It'll be midnight over here or something.
It's 13 hours more. 11 AM. 11 PM. So that'd be Thursday.
Right? The good thing about this. Oh no. I was going to say something stupid.
Okay. That coffee ready is what we'll say. That pot ready. It's going to be Thursday evening.
I'm going to have to sleep during the day then. Yeah. Which is there will be Saturday and the other panels are going on. We'll miss it.
But the good thing is then I can rest on Sunday. Yeah. Anyway, we'll figure it out. I'll be live here.
All those shows. I mean, all those days at some point. Oh, yeah. Coffee or dog will be stretching.
We'll figure everything. Amanda Grogo, we all expect a trailer. Hopefully they'll release it. I don't know.
I haven't been releasing a lot of trailers. Something just leaked and they feel the need to. I'll say this. I'll say this.
This is an MTV show. The box office is not the same as it was back in 2015. They need to put it in seats. So I'm pretty sure they're going to promote the living shit out of this movie.
So that's something like when we talked early about and on how they wait two months to release the first trailer, that's on par for what they've been doing in Disney plus in general, not just Star Wars. They don't promote their shows a lot in advance. It's been a while since we got our Star Wars movie. It won't be two months before.
So maybe, I mean, they'll still have basically a year to start promoting this. It won't be, it's not unheard of. At least that teaser gets released. Even if we get our teaser and the people over there get a full trailer, that's fine.
Just give me a little bit something. And by the way, the timing makes sense. The first Awakens first teaser came out in November 2014. Yeah.
So I think it's been 13 months before. This thing would be like 13 months before the movie. So I think it makes sense. It's been almost 10 years?
No, no, six years. Six years. I can't map to it. I can't map to it.
No, we feel that out. So yeah, hopefully we'll get to see a trailer over here. If not, everyone will have their very detailed description of what they saw. But if they showed something, what was it?
D23 or not D23? Something, some Disney showcase they had some of those that teaser trailer a while back. Hopefully we get something. I'll take it.
I'll take it. I thought I saw a particular camera and it was pretty cool. That showed us now on the ATS that is not on the... That's fine.
Let's go. I'll kick you up. Well, I'll take on the next panel on Sunfry then. This is one that's very interesting.
It's the Look at Stream on Publishing panel. You guys know how much we love all the Star Wars books, even if I'll take three more to finish them. We'll talk about them eventually. So that's going to be a big one.
Of course, it's going to be the end of the High Republic, like a month or so after that panel. So they will get some information on it. I'm guessing we're going to get information if we get a continuation to High Republic in terms of different stories in these stories. Not following the story that we know now, but more.
Different stories with different characters or some that we already know. There's a different era. I know Adam Pissor is going to be there. Maybe we'll get something new from him.
Also, Frida, we'll get the Look at Stream Publishing panel. That's always a big one. You think maybe we'll get an announcement that we're going to get more stories in the High Republic? Well, it's something.
I think this would be the time to get this clarity because I remember Michael's saying it was like, there's more. So I think it would be cool to build hype to the conclusion of this part of the story, being like giving us something to look forward to and having people then invested buying the books and reading it. So I think we might get what's next in that section of the galaxy. Let me, I'm trying to find, I had before the authors that are going to be there doing this panel.
I'll probably have to drop off again. All right, we'll be fast. There we go. No, that's manga.
We're doing a manga one also. Oh, yeah, I saw one. Here we go. Story is right.
I got to see far, far away. So Alan Christopher, Tessa Granton, Mark Guggenheim, Didia Kang, Ethan Sacks, Phil Soastak and Alisa Wong and Marvel CB, Cebolsky. So a couple of people that have written big Star Wars books are going to be there. You have Alan Christopher, who's doing a continuation to, what got the name of his book?
Oh, that's the one. Shadow, that's it. You're a continuation. Oh, it's something in there.
Yeah, that'll be great. Well, he was going to do that in Mandalorian, Ty Novo, and then that got pushed and he did this one, which I'm glad. We need more with him. It's such a great author.
I want to see if Lydia Kang announces something because I love her book and she hasn't written any other Star Wars books. So. Yeah, I know I don't see a lot, but some of these Star Wars authors that have worked on the High Republic, I can't finish in my Star Wars publishing run. I'm going to take a break for it.
I don't know if I can hold back. Also, there is one that says done with it. I don't know if you've seen Arlan, which has the way Seeker, Novo coming out. I think she says it's kind of done with it also some others, but yeah, Lydia Kang, she was great.
I think she's written in the High Republic and she has some other stuff and one of her books just released, I think, a new one. We'll see. And then also Friday is the animation panel, 20th Anniversary of Star Wars animation and including a look at what's to come. So that's the only one we know that we're getting something new in animation and it's not vision because vision is on Sunday.
So it's something different. It's a tale itself. Is it the new long form animation? I don't know.
I'm very excited to see what's next in Star Wars animation. Yeah. No, that's exciting. Hopefully.
The one on Stu Show. Oh, right. That was the big rumor. I'm well back there on Saturday.
We have the Andoshis on two panel, which is where people get to see the episode a couple days before the rest of us, which is fine. But you should get more. We'll get a bunch of people from the cast will be there. A lot of cool interviews.
That's one I'm looking for on Sunday on Saturday. It's not going to just be the the. Oh, my God. The sneak peek.
Oh, no, no, it's a full panel. Yeah. And by the way, if you when they did Obi one, it wasn't during the panel, they gave everyone tickets to come to. Yeah, let me just see what the real joint creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy, executive producer, Diego Luna and Cass were a sneak peek at the final season of Android.
This is a one hour panel. Yeah. So it's not a here we go. That's it.
Yeah. So yeah, that's going to be a big one. See who they bring out. It's going to be fun.
So that's the one I'm looking forward on Saturday. There's an Ahsoka panel, which is fine. Yeah, which is mostly to look back at season one. We're going to get something season two, and new cast members concept or something.
I think we'll get something as so as to date where it falls in the timeline. Oh, sorry. Hopefully Hayden Christians will be there. He's going to be there.
Signing autograph. Oh, awesome. Yeah. Oh, I wish Rosario and actually extinct.
Yeah. That'd be nice. And then on Saturday is that Oscar Isaac panel is a conversation with Oscar Isaac talking about Paul, I'm doing the 10th anniversary of the first awakens. That's how it says they mentioned that 10 year anniversary for some weekends during this panel with Oscar Isaac.
That's a surprise. I wasn't expecting that one. Kind of funny. And I'll mention now that there's not an official 10 year anniversary panel for the first awakens.
Oscar Isaac is there with Joke here who's coming back on the big three. He's been the one that I'll be back if I need a new house. Maybe it's time for a new house. I don't think he's going to say in that panel that is coming back, but I don't know.
I think it'll be like, if he doesn't say it, I think someone will probably ask him. Oh, of course. I'll be like, Oh, no, what's the guy saying? Oh, I don't know.
Kathy, give me a call. She's in the background. That one is moderated by Vanessa Marshall. So, here I will moderate that.
Oh, interesting. So on the 10th anniversary of Star Wars, the fourth awakens, Oscar Isaac takes the stage to look back at his time for train a spy. Po dammer. By the way, I will say I am kind of annoyed.
There is no 10 year anniversary. I was like, why? We'll get to it. One more thing I'm going to jump towards meeting and then Sunday the big one is Star Wars, Bishon's volume three.
So, it's a whole panel dedicated to Bishon's. Of course, being in Japan and recently going back to Japanese animation is very important for everyone over there. And I love Bishon's. So, I can't wait for that one.
Those are the big ones. Yeah. So, those are the announced panel. There's a bunch of people.
If you're going to be there, good luck figuring out where you're going to be because a lot of these panels kind of mix with everything else that's going on, especially all our podcasting friends are going to be out there. A lot of them mix with what they're going to be already presenting. So, good luck to everyone. Quick question.
You're just highlighting a few, right? Yes. Okay. So, these are the, I'm just going to, I'm going back to it.
I'm not going to read all of them. Actually, let me get this out of my mind. I was just curious. Yeah.
I'm not going to read all of them. I don't have time. But basically starts like 9.30 a.m. There's something bad, cheap Mac, hyper-lane, there's a collector's social living your Star Wars story theme policy, opening greeting, which is at the end of the Mandalorian logo.
How long is that one? One hour. The opening greeting? Opening greeting.
So, this is just, I think, opening greetings and fan club introduction by club representatives. That's only a 15 minute. Okay. So, hey, goes from 10 in the morning, at least Friday till 5 in the afternoon.
So, it's a full day. So, there'll be plenty of stuff to keep watching. All right. So, the big, I don't even know the word, but what's missing?
The first one we already mentioned is the look at the showcase. This is something that you said, it's kind of new. Basically, the last two Star Wars celebration is when we had the showcase, everything look at the showcase, not just Star Wars. We got Willow at one point and we got in the Jones.
So, it's not just look at the, this is when Kathy Kennedy comes to this is when they really came out last time. First thing of the union. Yeah. So, the movie's who announced this is the one I've been waiting for.
I've been, we've been saying here, this is gonna be make or break for Disney plus. If they don't announce something for the 50th year, Kathy Kennedy is time to back it up. So, we've been, maybe sorry for kind of building up and putting all this pressure on this showcase. And it's not there.
Again, we're still a month out. They might announce something. I'm extremely surprised at least right now. There's not a panel dedicated to the future of Star Wars.
I'm extremely bummed. I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't get something. And maybe they're in Bandon Grogu. They left, they feel on and say, okay, and this is what's coming next.
Maybe because that's the first panel makes sense. And I'll be okay. But if there's nothing, I'll be disappointed. I think of two things here.
A, I said if they don't release something for the 50th anniversary, not if they don't announce something. So, wait until 20, 20, make bolder declarations. Well, what I think is like in terms of future, there is a school of thought that could be like, hey, we announced it last year or two years ago. I don't remember and we're still working on it.
So, we have nothing to announce right now. And for me, I was more disappointed than anything. I'm not upset about it specifically. Star Wars isn't Marvel where Captain Kennedy stands up and there's all these logos.
I was surprised they did do that in the last generation. So, we'll see. I was just like, oh, I kind of wanted it. Yeah.
And even though I'll be disappointed, I'd been expecting. We also mentioned a couple weeks ago, Katte Kennedy just gave an interview when she talked about all these movies. I'm like, really, they're announcing this now. Maybe this was a time of saying, yeah, this is everything that we're working on towards the future.
Let's focus on what's coming, which is Mando and Grogo. Maybe they were like, we don't have a lot to talk about to fill a one hour panel. So, just do an interview and just do a mando. Yeah.
Again, it's easy to criticize from the outside a month ahead of time. Let's see what we get and then I'll complain if I have to. I'll complain now. No, 20, 20, very sorry for the revenge on the set.
It's coming back in the after a couple of months. Come on. That's an easy one. You bring, hey, then you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring, you bring.
You play Natalie for me anything to throw up. If not, the whole building comes down. But you bring little, I mean, it's there at this point. You bring little, so Volba for, or, or, I don't know, he was there.
I just have to grab him. But yeah, surprise again, 20, anyway, it's a big one. Revenge of the city is a big more ways kind of, I don't feel like it's amazing. Something's missing.
And Phantom medicine, I think the clothes got one. Like, what about this? This is why even it looks pretty official, everything that they've announced so far, it's still a month out. I think there's time to do something else.
Even if you can't get everyone there, like, I remember even for, I think it goes to the dead. They didn't get the thing. Yeah. I don't think my panel wasn't there.
Harrison Ford wasn't there. Still, you do something to come on, I don't know how to talk. You do something to write that movie. Yeah, that movie.
And the same thing goes for Force Awakens. Like, that was the first movie of this new era. Why are we not doing something for the 10-year anniversary of that movie? Maybe because it makes us feel super old.
But. Dude, I got a photo reminder on my phone today. And it's of my daughter. I thought it was the Force Awakens taking a picture and actually it's drawing.
They made it on the movie theater. But it's a little drawing of Grogu. So it was probably the last day that I was a Skywalker. But she looked so young.
I was like, oh my God. No. It was always a Skywalker, man. That's it.
I was 20-something. So I think it was not that far away from Force Awakens. Just looking at the, somebody gets that will be there that could fit that 20-something. I'm at best.
It's going to be there. And Tony Daniels is going to be there. Daniel Logan. Hey, the Christens is going to be there.
John Noggin. Talk about everything. Everything. Oh, well, Tamora Morrison.
I know it's not there in terms of Django. But there's a couple of people I could feel. He's going to be in celebration? Yeah.
I think as a panelist, he's with Daniel Logan doing a panel on Boba Fett. Oh, that's cool. That's cool. That's pretty cool also.
Cool stuff at celebration. Always bond that can make it over there. But so glad that we'll be able to enjoy it from the comfort of our coaches. Hopefully 20-27 is in the East Coast.
A little bit closer. If the US hasn't fallen into a dictatorship. All right. Let's jump from that's it for Star Wars.
That's all I have regarding Star Wars. And I don't know why I put that again. Anyway, there you go. I hit that wrong button.
I'll probably hit it again. Banners. That's what I have to go to. That's like a couple of minutes ago.
Talk about something that's not Star Wars in a world between fandoms. All right. Oh, you mentioned hopefully the US is not falling apart. Let's talk about a show that has a little bit of politics on it.
Let's go there. They're they will born again. Oh, some people call it season four. Some people call it season one of their they will.
I know you've been watching it. What are your quick thoughts on the first three episodes? I like it. Well, disclosure.
I never finished the first show. I watched season one. Then I watched I started watching season two and then it got canceled. I was like, I'm not finishing this.
And now I try to rewatch everything and I couldn't because of what happened to me at work. So I couldn't get to it on time. So, but I'm liking it. I'm not liking it so much as I like the first one I came up, but that was just like so new at that time that I don't know if it was unrealistic expectations.
The show was basically competing against itself or our expect our memory of it. But so far it's been pretty cool. I think the Puerto Rico exposition dump at the beginning of the last episode was super weird. I was like, this is really happening.
I'm like, okay, okay, you know, but I've enjoyed it very much. I love Charlie Cox. So for me, that's a bit of a treat. I did a rewatch of season one last year, just because I hadn't watched it in so long.
And it still holds up as one of the best Marvel shows that we've gotten in a while. Funny show is also great. I didn't get to go back into season two and the rest of this stuff. And yes, we have that everyone has that notion that there was the best MCU show.
So it is competing against itself a little bit. Just for God the word, it's not fair for each show that we compete against itself. Some of the comments that they're creators or someone they compare and need to Penguin and how it's greedy and all that stuff, which again, just worry about your stuff, which Penguin was a great surprise. It's very difficult to much of what they did in that show.
I like their devil. You don't want to bring up things. You don't want people thinking about what they want to do. That takes it down a couple of inches.
But just talking about their devil point again, firstly, episodes were pretty cool. It feels like we're in that same world with same vibe. I know we've got in Mad Murdock with She-Haul and Wilson face, King Ping showed up in a couple of other shows. And it's always great to see those characters back.
But some of them felt a little eh, they're playing to whatever the vibe on this side of that show is. So it's great to get them back in their original kind of landscape. It's also weird to see Wilson face playing this. Oh, I'm done with violence and all my gangster years.
All this behind me playing this politician trying to take over New York, which again, with everything that's going on in the real world, it's like, give me something that's not about politics right now. But only like being enjoying them. The CDI fight in the first episode was kind of weird looking at times, but it was pretty violent. Oh dude.
You and I guess the green screen was pretty bad. Which I don't know why they didn't have to go hard on it. But let's just, I can spoil this. Sorry about it.
Tony was like, now I understand why Netflix never put their devil to swing. It's almost like Grogle trying to do a backflip. Don't throw that puppet. He's almost like a puppet doing a backspin.
I don't know what this was. Yeah, they put that smoke. You didn't see it. It just makes it look worse.
But that show itself and the drama is still there. It's only now something else. No, I don't think so. Tony Tony has been confirmed for a season too.
But then again, him and Karen were confirmed for season one. Were they really there? I don't know. So that's what I think imagine being an actor.
Hey, we're bringing their devil back. Everyone wants foggy and also carrying back. You're going to be there for two minutes. I was killing you.
