Rebellion's Build Hall hope. And welcome to another episode of Radio Rebellion and our first of three Star Wars Celebration recap episode. I hope we can make it to three straight days. We'll see how it goes today and tomorrow.
Both thank you everyone that joined us today. Let's join us today whenever you get our chance to watch this. Otee! Wait I'm your host, Avitak Alirond.
That's our co-host over there Otee. We survived day one Otee. How are you doing? It's been a couple of weeks with Dondishan Preparation for Star Wars Celebration.
How are you doing today? After a long while Star Wars is in the air. Do it. I'll say I was gonna wait till later but this is I think the first celebration I've been able to watch basically the whole livestream from beginning to end.
Where I'd never done it? So last time in London or Europe, it was during the day which was better but I didn't have the day off. I was either driving my kids to school or I was home working so I can watch this panel. They gotta stop and gonna do something else in and out.
This is the first one that since nine in the morning, I mean nine at night when people started reposting or life posting the Mandalorian Grogo panel. All the way till about three or three in the morning I was able to make it. So I felt it even if I wasn't there and maybe we didn't get all the big no look at you on showcase. We'll talk about all that but it didn't matter.
I felt like I was there. I was in general this experience for you. So it's interesting you say because I'm always a champion of the live feed of the life. Every time I was like, ah, we didn't get the trailer.
We didn't see this. We didn't see that. I love the livestream because we see so many random things and yes like this time they're doing this thing that I don't I think they've done before but I don't think was the norm. Where we're getting the panels like an hour after they finish.
Yeah, they finish and then it starts. Not it's like so for example the publishing one I that's when I told you I have nothing to do with the panel. I had just I had walking about five a.m. in the morning so I did not last the entire day.
Um, this till they will be different. Um, that one I had already seen all the everything when it came out. So but it's still fun to see and even though we don't get the big panel like the the mandolin Grogo. They always do this thing like after that panel and the same people walk out into the stream stage and they talk about what they just talked about.
They sometimes even give us a little bit more. So that's always cool and I love the random things we see. Like that you see the Star Wars. Yeah, like like you're not seeing that part.
What is that? I don't know what I'm drawing. Okay, so yeah, there's like these porcelain sculptures. Yes, I love the Darth Vader one.
Yeah, I don't know why. Oh, it's amazing. So I love every time they show us things like that. And they again, I always go to extremes like sometimes you see the sky who's been doing Star Wars models with Q tips for 30 years.
Yeah, the chef. The chef. The chef doing the scopes. So again, it's so fun.
And yes, you're not there. You're not filling the energy and being there has to be like a completely different experience, but it's something. And the fact that it lasts six hours, it's not like just an hour's is all real. Like you get to feel it.
I don't know. I love it. I really love it. I'm sorry, I've done it since 2016 and we're one.
Yeah, I understand why people want to see the big live streams and the big panels, but we've talked about this before. If by this point you're expecting something different, I think that's on you. Especially knowing that after a couple of, give me one second, I'm gonna take care of something. I'll be right back.
Sorry. My kid is at a birthday party. He just texted me. I'll take over.
I'll be back. Yeah. So I don't know what to talk about. Well, I'm very glad it's gone.
But I'll echo what he was saying. I've been someone who's been doing this since since I was six years old. No, I've been doing it since the one for when I think it was London also. And it follows a very similar formula, very similar beats every single time.
I think at this point, and again, they don't have to tailor the live stream for me. But for someone who's seen nine years of this, basically, it gets a little bit repetitive. We're seeing a lot of the same hosts who, by the way, do a great job keeping the crowd excited, keeping the live feed alive. It rarely turns into a dot of just looking at the celebration floor and seeing people walk out.
There's always something going on. And they do a great job again, just keeping everything moving. But for someone who's seen it for so long, I was starting to see some of the same jokes. Some of the same things.
All right. I'm back. Sorry. I missed everything you said about.
No, I was just saying, I love the crew that runs live stream. But as someone who's seen like six or seven of these already, it's getting a little bit old for me because it's a lot of the same jokes. I'm still waiting for Anthony Carbonia to fight with Anthony Daniels. I'll probably happen to later tomorrow.
I'll be honest. I'm maybe the same thing. I think the same people, at least for myself, for these three celebrations. I kind of enjoyed the other two posts a little bit more because they were different.
I know they had a different vibe to it. Yeah. I'm not against Antoine and Cruz. They're great.
What I was saying is they do a great job keeping it alive and keeping it moving. And again, their main job is to animate the floor of Star Wars Celebration, not entertaining me. So I think they do a good enough job balancing that job of catering to the people at home, catering to the people there. But I would like to see something different because it's a lot of the same jokes.
I love the same beat. So but that's just me. They do a very good job. Right.
So real quick before we officially saw what I was saying was, it doesn't matter if we get the big balance like you said, because 20 minutes, 30 minutes later, Sean Levi's day with Ryan Gosling giving you the big news and Captain Kennedy is coming out. And Dave Filone is like, they're coming out. Just wait 20 minutes. Yeah, we won't see that trailer.
You don't do it and get a potato camera. But we get all that information anyways. And if you're a nerd, I guess, like us, watching everyone live tweet everything, you feel like we're part of it. And like you said, what I also love is the Lego panel.
When they were out there, I was trying the different levels. I love that K2SO, the giant one, of course, with the regular size, which is like, two inches. I love that one. So that little 10-minute section was great.
By the way, did you notice that the first people they interviewed were Puerto Rican? No. We can flag in the crowd. The first group of people they went to after Hayden walked out, who was the first guest, were a good reporter.
I was funny because we know Puerto Ricans aren't there, but not the ones that we know of. So it's like, there's always a Puerto Rican. So with the guy waving the flag, I just show me what that is. I might know what that is.
But anyway, he was dressed as Darkard Bing's, but as Amit Best on set as Darkard Bing's with the and that big head. If you're joining us live, thanks for being here. Make sure you like this video. Make sure you subscribe to our channel.

If you have any questions or anything you want us to discuss and if you listen to your audio podcast, thank you. And give us a five-star rating and review of the who's out there in the chat today. So we have Brennan in the chat. Hello there, gentlemen.
I'm having the last following along with the news from Star Wars Celebration Tokyo. I'm sad I can't be there, but just but I am just enjoying being part of this great fandom. I 100% agree. Buck is in the chat.
I'll get hit right away. Benji saying hi there. I haven't been able to catch one of these live until now. Awesome.
Thank you for being here. Maybe you're talking about Star Wars Celebration live feed. Awesome. And we have Buck, Buck said, oh, now he's saying I love the live stream.
What they gave us is amazing. By not showing the trailers and footage sucks. I get not showing the episodes. That's fine.
Yeah, I'm kind of in that line. I always think about that 2019 celebration when they showed Mando footage and everyone was there where like, it really was so unfinished. Like I get why they didn't show it. So we saw the Mando trailer.
We don't know if it looks unfinished or not because it was like a very bad footage. But at least it gave us an idea. We'll get to that at some point. But I agree, by the way, I think I've always been the guy who's like they marketed when they market it.
But like I think I hope they are aware that Star Wars is coming back in a very different movie market than they left last time with Rice Skywalker. So I think they should start promoting this movie. Like I was surprised when they said that Peripascal and Sigourney, we were gonna be in GMA the next morning, like this morning. Like 100% they're gonna show something at GMA.
Like I mean nothing. They were there for five minutes. Again, it's like three in the morning at this point. So I was surprised that we didn't get anything at that point.
And even though I think we're a little bit early, I agree with what you said last time that if we go back to the Force Awakens, which was a 10-year gap, now we're gonna be in a seven-year gap. And that first teaser came out 13 months earlier, exactly like right now. I really hope we got a trailer like, I don't know, before August or something. Yeah, we can.
It's not over. We'll see what else happens. I don't get your hopes up. Like I don't expect me to drop this week.
But like, the end of the summer or something. I think maybe it was next. Sonder goals and Fantastic Four, if you happen to have Fantastic Four and then you put Mando trailer there, you'll give it a double bill of Mando. I finished always way security.
I know it's not Star Wars celebrations, but I finally finished. Oh, the book, the Goliath finished the book. It's pretty good. My review on Bugger drops on Mondays.
I won't say too much. But if you enjoyed those characters, I think you will enjoy this book. Okay. I enjoy those characters.
I need to start into the light. I haven't started. Oh, I got it, actually. I need to read the other one.
No, I too. All right. At some point we'll have a... When everything ends with the Heavy Public, we need to have a big panel, which I like three or four guests.
You have to call it a whole three phases. Around table. Yeah, probably December when you're done reading everything. I'm already list of Star Wars and it is Star Wars news.
Star Wars news. Okay, everyone, before we officially jump into all the big news and reveals from celebration, I wanted... Right now it doesn't matter because celebration is already, so my entire face basically for Star Wars are all time high. But I was surprised and did it bother you like two weeks ago and then last week they started revealing stuff like that tells on the underworld with Ventress and Captain was revealed two weeks ago.
Then the Master of Evil book by Alan Chris of War's reveal last week. The ROTS novelization 20-year anniversary reprint was announced last week. Can we just wait? I wasn't a bit bummed.
Right now it doesn't matter but I'm not a publisher. Only one of them I think it was the Master of Evil. I think that leaked before and I think they were the fucking December. The title leaked.
Leaked. Oh right, because I'm an Amazon post or something. Yeah. I remember I was like oh yeah I agree like it's weird having so...
And they've been able to surprise us. Surprised me. Maybe it has to do that we went in with zero expectations. And so I also think they've learned lessons.
I remember that 2016 one day announced nothing and it was so weird. But yeah I think it's kind of on this opportunity. Could you imagine walking out this week like oh there's a Darth Vader book by Alan Christopher. And that cover?
That cover the first time. I love the title. So yeah. Whatever.
Right now it doesn't matter. I just gave me all the news. It was fun. Alright so let's officially go into day one of Star Wars Celebration 2025.
Only last time we had an episode here you said we always talked about that we wanted to have our minds blown. We wanted to be surprised. I know it's only that first day but where are you in that point? Is your mind blown with some other surprises?
Are you okay with what we're getting so far? No dude I'm super happy that the the Starfighter announcement was super random because I was playing the last of us waiting for the live stream to start and I completely forgot that there was a panel ongoing so there were news coming out and Tony texted me like oh um they announced the Starfighter date and I was like what the fuck are you? Starfighter? Is it like a DC Comics movie?
And so I was like no Star Starfighter is that okay? No the short leave I was like what? Well then I went to Twitter and I saw the live stream started early and that's when I started to get like every information that had come out right on the hot apparently is the thing now. We'll get to it.
No I know but like they've been able to survive. Yeah I was the other way. I was just watching people repost everything and for some reason I went to Twitter to see there was anything else and I saw that you posted a picture of Hayden Christensen in the live panel on the live uh whatever live stage. Like wait is that from last time was that new because I thought the live stream was starting at 10 so I missed that for a kind of five minutes of that interview.
But yeah when Kathleen Kennedy came out when I saw the post and Kathleen Kennedy said like okay we don't need to worry about no look at the panel she's here she's gonna reveal something. We talked about it she's there something's gonna be said regarding the movies and she confirmed again movies and development the mango movie the Obaggio, Tackawateri, you'll imagine again Filoni, the Kingbug trilogy and of course Sean Levi started shooting in the fall it's not in development it's in pre-production they made a point of sticking that needle there like we're doing this we're starting shooting Ryan Gosling came out and as you just said Star Wars Starfighter they reveal a title from a movie that comes out in two and a half years. Good never happens. Great why wait why wait?
Can I just say I called it I told I said here that Captain Kennedy would probably walk out at the end of this panel and announce a couple of things. So yeah I thought it was you know they were gonna let Filoni do it but yeah as soon as she came she still loves man she's still loves us. Yes please and I appreciate mirrorless leader. Whenever and we talked about it but whenever she decides to retire and yes we've been bumps along the road and some people say that they're big bumps and if you've been a personal company for a decade it's gonna happen but in general if you go year by year if you've forgotten the hall of fangareer just look as well.
I was talking again I did my show like a couple hours ago and I was telling Tony that there's something about Captain Kennedy that I really like and I think it's something that people don't like and she's a fan of the movie process. She's not I don't think she cares about who's having what lightsaber and what ship that what and quick cannon connections. I just think she's a dark talent might be the apprentice of them all. I just think she cares that the story fits into the Star Wars blueprint story I guess and that it's good and that the best talent is attached to it and I like that about her.
I like that that's her main concern and then she walks and she I like that she doesn't pretend she doesn't come out and be like oh yes I've been wondering about what's a silk I've been doing for the last thing. Oh she doesn't care she probably forgets how to pronounce that name anyway probably not. And that's something that we know. She probably says monkey on the row instead of mocha.
Yeah that's something that we know she said herself the end is near and that's something I'm gonna miss about her. I'm pretty sure the next person we have is gonna be a bi-hard fan and that dynamic is gonna be super different but I there's something about that that I think gives her authority and she's I was telling Tony there's a couple of people that when they come out that stage like everything stops and it's about them and you know she'll get the heaps she gets whenever she walks out every one stops because it's freaking out again and she has something to say. I'm gonna show you the search so this works to be there and come on this stage. She's our boss.
She's everyone's boss. The star wars it goes her name goes right after it. Yeah I extremely so I'm happy that they brought Sean Lee by there. I'm happy that Ryan Gosling was there wasn't just a video I know we joked about people from the seagulls living.
Well then we're coming out but if this is the next movie and I'm sure you're extremely happy that this is coming out for the 50th anniversary. I don't care if it's going on I don't need something to come out. I wonder if they'll do like a special like Star Wars marquee or something when a movie star I don't know 50 years of something else to get something new. Yeah I mean they have to.
And I guess there are the people that made the movie so they're gonna talk good about it but I'm glad that they also when Ryan Gosling and Sean Lee by went to the interview stage that they talked about this script. I think I think that they also mentioned this is because of the script is great. It's got hard adventure great new characters five to six years after the events of episode nine we're in a different time place in terms of I guess a new republic and whatever with the first order. I will say we'll see.
Hi what happens. I talked some notes about the whole thing and you take two words. Two things that stood out to me two words. New and fun.
He said new adventures new characters new ships and is Ray showing up maybe maybe. But I'm excited I'm excited for what they have and do something I love whenever we get these new creators and Star Wars announce things there it's like the first time at Star Wars television. There's always like this initiation process they look shy like Ryan Gosling like a fresh out of water. Just sitting there with his hat and being like you know I'm excited to be here.
And it's gonna be super fun probably in two years from now and he returns to Star Wars celebration to promote his movie. He'll probably be one of the commanding forces and that's gonna be super fun to see that transition. Yeah he'll be like the first-class killers now. He's working hours I think.
Exactly. He's having this relationship with Dave Filoni. He's so great making fun of each other. He'll be there in a couple of years.
Again he might be the biggest movie star in the planet. It's a different base working into a room with 10,000 nerds. Yeah that know everything about this new world you're jumping in. And yeah you have the ships when you're a kid I also did.
If I walk into a panel there I mean I get props to Maggie. It's a great friend of ours. That's me on the show. So you got a chance to do that.
I wouldn't be able to speak for 20 minutes if I'm up there. It's great. I mean we talked about Ryan Gosling. We're both big fans of him.
He's on a high right now. He can do any serious comedy, drama, musicals. So when they talk about being fun and new characters and all these I think he's a perfect guy for it. Whatever character he plays I think it's perfect for it.
Who's out there? I see a couple of comments out there anything new. Yeah. Buck mentions that he loves that a Taika with T.T.
movie is still apparently happening. Me too. It's like twice this year that she has mentioned it. So awesome.
Someone asked about the Ryan movie. Let's see what she says. He should be like, nope it's still happening. He's still thinking about it.
Let's see. Oh and the other thing we have two men too. Hey Michael. Yeah.
So they always give us a little bit of info before celebration to get us started talking about the announcements beforehand. Again I'm fine if they do that as long as they don't come to celebration and they get it. Like they still didn't even surprise us. Yeah I know when I don't say complain but when I post that song I was really announcing the tell us on the world already and someone said, oh this means something bigger is coming.
We did get something. We got that second animation. We'll jump into that in a minute. But then the big panel, the first one was the Mandalorian and Grogu panel.
This movie is coming out about a year basically. A little bit of more information. Sigourney Weaver is there playing a rebellion, a new republic. Sorry.
Paolo look at it with the B.D. Droids and she looks great in the X-Men pilot. If you had a chance to look at the potato camera if you were there in person she also, it's just not just a pilot. It looks like she has more authority in the new republic.
He's kind of selling that Carson Teva. Yeah. And again it's weird. You have Helen Ripley coming in to replace Paolo Crete in a way.
Yeah it's kind of weird. But she's one that was a little bit different than Ryan Cossley when she came out. She's like, I don't know what's happening but I love it. But she's someone that is used to this.
Like if she walks into a comic con she's not Sigourney Weaver. She's Helen Ripley. Bad ass, the biggest final girl to ever find out of it. And again I love this whole thing of bringing 80 stars into Star Wars.
And by the way with her it goes even deeper. This is the whole thing in Hollywood with a middle-aged women and older actress that don't get as many roles of having her come in and be calling the shots for Mando and being an ex-wing pilot of her alley. Cool. Awesome.
Yeah which is something she pointed out when she was there with Faro. Like I'm saying how happy she was. He thought of her color for this role because of those issues that you just mentioned. She's going to crush it.
We know she's going to. And there are many droids are now everywhere. And Seb we got confirmation that Seb is back. He looks great here.
I'm going to say that. Not used to. Phone camera, phone picture that they took of the screen. That's a pretty good shot though.
I don't know who took this picture. And our five is there. Our five is there. Our five is there a five or four.
No that's a five or four. It's whoever it is. Got an extra work in the background. Drogo.
There's some beauty droids I think in the little corner over there but Seb looks great. Also he looks great. And we got, I don't have a picture for it but I think it's not a movie still. I think just a promotional picture of Pedro Pascal in the art mode without the helmet.
And in that interview he I think he's going to be in it. I think we're going to get him without the helmet in a couple of scenes. Do you think we're going to get him because everyone was saying oh he has of course the last of us plus shooting fantastic for the same time. He won't be able to be there on the set for Mando and Grogo.
I think he made time. I think they found him in the flue to California and showed a couple things to him. I think he's he'll be in the movie a lot. I really think he'll be in the movie a lot.
Like again you know I hate this rhetoric. Like this is Star Wars. And he said it himself. He's like I signed into the Mandalorian.
I'm excited to be in the show. What I really wanted to do was to Star Wars. Like I have no doubt that he'll be in it quite often. But I also love that he gave props to the only two actors.
To Latifra and to Random Wayne. It wasn't one of the first things that he said. And he talked about it a couple of times. But yeah he mentioned I'll be back into how much he loves.
Not in control but that he's involved in so much of the process. Like a lot of times you hire cellulines at here and they're done. But he's involved. He has been involved in a lot of them and the learning process since the beginning.
So it's great for him to go all the way. Like to mention that now end up on a Star Wars movie coming through the screen. But I know what you want to talk about and what everyone wants to talk about is this massive unit of a guy. Rotter the hots.
The above hots as you can see during this gladiator trip. I said I'm not a fan of Rotter the hot coming back. Some of the rumors out there are not my favorite. But don't look at that.
I mean I'm looking at that. I'm like yeah okay. I'll take it. I'll eat humble pie or whatever.
We get that buff hot there. Are we kind of hearing his voice a little bit? No I wasn't like that. I was hearing the other way.
I didn't hear it. I couldn't hear it. Listen a little bit anyway. I didn't kind of hear it.
You're mind enjoying having a face fight with that guy? No. I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know man. So it's just like you mentioned for the Sean Lee Y movies fun. I think this is going to be a very fun movie. And I think it doesn't need to make a billion dollars.
I think it's going to be a fun hour and 45 minutes or two hours. I'm just having fun with Mando and Grogu and a giant rip hot. I'm talking about movies because one of the things that people have been a little bit concerned was that all they took season four, the Mandalorian. And then they just made it a movie.
It's not going to be great. Same thing happened with Moana too. It's going to be a series. They make a movie.
They don't have enough stories to make a series. But then they feel sorry, Pharaoh came out of some of you make a movie. You have two years, two and a half years to do this. It's not like when you're making a show, oh, you got your notes.
Okay. How many more time to develop the movie? Bigger sets, more time to refine the costume, pop head CGI, iMac screen. It's not a TV movie.
It's a cinematic experience. Kind of calm everyone. Like, yeah, we're not rushing this. Calm down.
You're about to see a great star was more in the theaters. That brought us miles from my face. He said, I wrote down more time equals, more sets, iMac's aspect ratio, more practical effects. Yeah.
And again, I'll mention it. I know you're not going to show it, but the potato camera footage we saw looks awesome. Yeah. Looks freaking awesome.
Like that whole one shot whole way sequence. I think about their double whole way sequence. Yeah. It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen in Star Wars.
It is. And it's same as the phone picture we saw, we just saw, we said. Yeah, it's bad quality. The potato camera.
It gets the female cross. So what's happening? It looked great. Just going through the edit, which I didn't, for some reason, I think it was going to be that big.
Just taking like 12 stars, 2 stars, no 2 stars there. 20 was done. That's the first time we've seen the inside of an ad app. Yeah.
Oh, cool. It looked great. And this is just like, I'm real playing with it. That's always, I mean, like, what does the inside of the app look like?
Yeah. It's going to be like, finally. I have everything I did also. So yeah, that was great.
I really can't wait until we start. Again, you know, I was already skeptical for this one. But that footage just like, okay, I get it. I'm here.
I'm here for the adventure. All right. So that was basically the biggest news of the Mandalorian girl panel. What the big thing was the reveal of Star Wars Starfighter.
Any two early predictions of what that movie might be about? Knowing that it takes place five to six years after Rise of Skywalker, it's called the Starfighter. But basically a lot of brand new stuff, which never seen. Predictions on what the movies are about?
I have no idea. Is it? I have no idea. Oh, I think it's going to be a pilot story.
Like if it's Starfighter, I want to see how the Force is connected to this, because Sean Lee, I talked about like everything in one of us out of a Star Wars when we were going to get. Maybe I'm just looking into it too much, and it's just like leaning into the original trilogy aspect of it all. But Alex in Star Wars Explains said, this is probably Top Gun in Space. And if it's that, cool.
Yeah. I'm here. I love a good pilot story. If we're not getting Jedi, pilot is only the second favorite thing.
I know I've been hammering here that I wanted a Starfighter racer TV show. This isn't it. I really, I don't want to say wish, but then I put an expectation. I'll be happy if it is something similar to the Alpha with Squad on Trilogy.
When you have a group of new Republic fighters as squadron pilots going against new first order pilots that are still around, and you have that rivalry between both Squad's. I think it'll be interesting to see on the screen. We haven't really seen that for so much before. Michael is saying it's going to be a remake of the Last Starfighter.
Hey, if it's that cool. Yeah. I want to see Ryan Gosling in this. Like what Ryan Gosling, are we getting?
Are we getting? Ryan Gosling, are we getting Ken? Did you see the Am just Kenner? No.
It's in the middle. I'm expecting that we're going to get a lot of information about this movie and really early in the process compared to other Star Wars movie. So I don't see that the person that wants to hold things back. And I understand it's on the Lucas we're shooting in the fall.
Thank you. Thank you, John. I love that he made that point to say it's not pre-production, it's not in development. I mean, it's not in development when pre-production we're shooting in the fall.
It comes out May 27th, 50th anniversary. Like everything's there. If we get pushed a week back or a week forward, that's fine. But we have an idea what's going on.
I'm still fingers crossed on what we're going back to this summer. Really, really fingers crossed on that. I'm going to say he hopes we get his character from Play Runners to put him playing the same character. Yeah, I kind of agree.
Just bring in Kate. Go ahead. Yeah. Having a big mumbling detective.
I mean, that's a great movie. I re-watched it a couple months ago. It's amazing. It's amazing.
It's awesome that we got the likes of Magic, the Lucasfilm. I am. I am. I am.
Thank you. I am season two panel. What's pretty good also? I love when Amit Bess talked about how he helped with the fight sequence between Jordan Grougu and Dougu.
That was great. That was something that was... No, no, no. No, no.
No, no. I never heard. I didn't know that this was a thing. No rumors, brand new information confirmed by the other guy like, yeah, this is exactly what happened.
So I love getting that. I love also when they showed George Lucas bring out a white voice with the whole movie just planned out in previous and then just with Marcus. Oh, this is real. This is CGI.
This is digital. And they went with, how are we going to do this? Like, can we wait to go see the documentary later? That's probably like the definitive George Lucas moment ever.
But again, as you mentioned, like seeing everyone be like, what is this guy doing? Yeah. And to that point with the Yoda fight and attack of the clones, that was just so fascinating to like hear them talk about that Rob Coleman. I missed the name in my show.
He, him talking about George giving him the script and having just like, I remember the exact phrase, but it was like a fight that pales description or something like that and zoos. And that's it. That's all you get. And him being like, George, what do you mean by that?
And George being like, figure it out. You're good. I'm not saying, I think I'm at best at something similar. And a couple people said, you'll figure it out.
No. And I'm at being like, following Rob Coleman and being like, hey, have you figured it out? It's like, no. And then him mustering the courage to be like, come to my, um, trailer.
I have somebody because and him like telling the story of being at the premiere because he never found out what they did. And then being like, what am I? Yeah. As soon as I see all the working, but also from Rob Coleman was it, um, taking up, taking a medicine, his suggestion.
A lot of people didn't find all the way or this is my job, you're an actor. Like, all right, let me see. I need all the help I can get. Let me show you got that.
That's basically how I am has always worked. Like George Lucas comes up with this crazy thing that is so out there that they have to be like, you know, I'm at best like secondary character. How many of you got sure? Let's hear it out because like we need to take everything in to see how we make it work.
And also like this season being all about Lucas film, uh, island moving into the digital age and how ours are the Caribbean was doing that. Um, I don't know if you heard that phrase like it all starts with, um, Steven Spielberg walking into island being like, I need you to make digital twisters for digital tornadoes for twisters. Um, and yeah, dude, I like, I like has done so many things, not just Star Wars. And it's, I mean, it's always, everyone that follows you, you know, the, um, George Lucas knows what watching that for a season is how much stuff they had to create invent themselves to be able to get to just look at a vision and then to all the other movies they've done afterwards.
So, and it's 20 years later still happening when the people see him around and the digital age is still there. So yeah, I can't wait to see that. I think it dropped last night. Yeah, I think it's just like four or five episodes.
All right. So I'll watch at some point after it gets, I'll record some sleep after this weekend, which I don't know when that will be. And then the big publishing panel, there was a manga panel. I haven't followed any of the manga.
So I don't have any news about those unless you have any one to. Again, I was a new Knight of Renai. I'm not so proud of all the details. Tabba Ren, I think it's called Kava Ren.
Great design. No. Kind of surprised that there's a new Knight of Ren now that looks better than the other. It's cool because we know Snoke had other apprentices and that's like a bigger question.
Where were they? What were they doing? Are they coming back and starfighter? Hopefully.
Well, he looks great. Big cover. I think it's she. I think I think I think.
Oh, the character looks great. Be careful. We got to be careful here. We don't want to get into it.
But the big publishing panel with I don't have the name of all the authors but there were a bunch of them. And a friend of the show Maggie Lovitt hosted the panel. He is a fi and she is a fi. She's a fi.
I'm going to try to get here for Andrew Reacaps. And of course, talk about. Sorry. She's too big for us.
She's so fresh. Hopefully we get lucky. I just want to know what that experience was like of getting the call. Hey, you want to host a panel in the show?
When I was the publishing panel knowing that she's a huge fan of all that books. I mean, dude, she posted a lot like talking about the first book and then doing this. But for me, I met Maggie. I think it was like he has before the High Republic had started.
And she came on my show. We talked about R It was very, very exciting to see. I'm so bummed out of that. That's what I fell asleep.
Again, nothing to do with the panel. I had almost spent 24 hours a week. I was just going to have a look at it. All right.
So great panelists start. Even though we didn't have an official panel for the 20 year anniversary of Revenge of the City, or 10 year for the first Awakens, they did talk a little bit about all the authors, reminiscent of where they were when they first saw those movies and what emotions they got, what was cool, favorite events, what reminds them when they think about the first Awakens and favorite parts of Revenge of the City. So even though it wasn't an official panel, it was cool to get 10, 15 minutes of people talking about those great movies. And then of course, Revenge of the City is coming out again.
I think we have to spend a couple of weeks. So some of the reveal session, I'll end book coming to commemorate 50 years of- I'm actually looking for it because I really wanted it and it wasn't an Amazon last night. Okay. It's going to be a big one.
But anyway, for us, the big one, of course, the Luminos 9, Otty, look at that thing. So cool. And knowing that all of them are going to- Like when I saw Buckets of Blood, Tyorig, I'm like, they're all going to be the same book, finally! Yeah.
So we got just there in that picture from Left to Right, Aslan, Rail, Bell, SADIFAR, RIV, Silas, Torben, Bucket of Blood, Buck, Avocre, Elsormand, Buria, Tyorig, and Tarek. And I believe from the information we've gone, these are the 9 that are going to Planet X, basically, to try to figure out how to get the Nile or figure out what's happening. I think they're the 9 that head out there. Who's not coming back?
I'm not sure. Who's not coming back from this year? I'm going to say, I think Torben Buck is not coming back. I think Aslan is dead.
Oh, yeah. I know him. I don't know. Don't you put me in there.
You know what, Alberto? Hey, I'll come back. This one time, everybody! All right, Doctor.
Everyone, that's a great scene. They're not coming back. I'm sorry. This isn't that episode.
I think Buria guys say, I know of one that is safe because of something else. Do you know anything? That's about him at anything. So one of these characters is in the way seeker.
Maybe I'm just spoiling something and I'm going to get in trouble. I know. One of these characters is in the way seeker. He'll say, tomorrow I don't have to get anymore.
I know that character is fine. The other is I think Torben Buck is not coming. I think Buria, they're not going to kill another person. If they kill Buria, I'm going to be very angry.
Like legit. Yeah. And then Elsar and Avar, I don't know. We'll see what happens there.
Hopefully, I think one is not coming. I think they're both coming. Okay, you think? Oh, nine are coming.
I hope you're right. I can't go through all this. I mean, I don't care about Aslan and Reh, already he can kick the bucket. You're going to get it.
Someone got it. Someone got it. That's all I'll say. All right.
So yeah, that's coming out in about two months, I think. And then the Harry Potter is over. Yeah. Five years later.
Five years, man. Can't believe it. The art of Andor looks great. That's what I didn't know.
That was a big surprise. And of course, we got one for the act. Also, but this Andor one was a big surprise. We didn't even mention this.
Not only Maggie. Lydia Kang was there. That's like Rhetton was there. Dude, I was in a state in one point.
Look at the panelist said, and again, we're a small show here, right? And I don't know. We have three of those people here. We have two Star Wars authors.
So right now in our panel, talking about future books and everything that you've gone through, being here, had a great conversation. And now they're all like, I know them. I'm happy. When I realized Lydia Kang was there, I was already about so excited.
I think that's the favorite podcast episode I've ever done. So thank you for that. Yeah, you're welcome. Thanks for your time.
Thanks for to. Thanks for reading that book and one saying that. One day. I don't know how you did it.
That's why I keep hugging on you. You can't finish a book in two months when you do it one day. But that was something that I was saying. I didn't know.
It's my first time talking to a Star Wars author. I thought it was going to be, we asked a question. Yes, no, maybe it'll be a 10-minute interview. And we had to stop it short because we went over an hour.
And then we kept talking with her for hours, 10 minutes. So just surreal. And to see her there, which again, we just knew her for that one hour. I was so happy.
And she's a great author. A great person. I'm happy to see her. I love that book.
I did not love FaceTube, but I love that book. By the way, another book that's not a Lucasfilm book, but I saw I was posting and I had to buy it. Let me see what it shows. Scotty Dyer wrote a book.
Oh, yeah. I'm related to his presentation. I bought it. I really want to get into it and see you.
I thought I was so like, why? I'll be honest. I haven't watched his YouTube video, but I gotta make time to watch it. I haven't seen it completely.
I've seen like, it's like two hours long. I think I've seen like bits of, I definitely saw bits of pieces of it. But like, he posted that he up right now. But I was like, I'm definitely getting it.
So it's not one of those things that one of us, basically to say, is there we've had friends of ours being in panels over the celebration. He's doing something that he did by himself, took all the time, did all the research. Now it's presented a celebration as a book to sell. I mean, perhaps to him and congratulations to Scotty Dyer with all his success right now.
And then of course, we'll finish off the policy panel talking about Master of Evil from Alan Christopher, which blew our mind with Shelton the Sith. He's coming back with us with a Darth Vader story, which I know, oh Darth Vader, what else is new? Apparently there is something. Surely after the events of the Sith explore some of the promises that Papa made to Vader throughout the whole Star Wars saga, he said that it's Rolly King Dark comes out in November.
