We got into build on hope! And welcome to another episode of Red River Night Star Wars podcast! I'll bet I got that one over there, Sajgos, Alti1, Kanobi and thank you for joining us for our third and final recap episode on Star Wars Celebration 2025. Alti1 a weekend, it's been for growing in depth into what happened this past week.
Yesterday the whole weekend we talked about it, but what I show man, it's so starting to finally settle down. We just had 72 hours, straight Star Wars, awesomeness. I'm going to make this next week and we have Ando in two days. I'm going to feel a little bit different, but I'm glad we have something to call the stuff about How you do today after all these huge Star Wars weekend.
I'm doing good, I'm tired. I woke up almost at noon. But yeah, it's going to be interesting because I think we've been in a Star Wars model since skeleton crew, not much has been going on. Both have come out, but that's not enough to reignite an entire franchise, unfortunately.
But now with Andor and then we'll piggyback on that to the end of the High Republic. I think we have some exciting months ahead of us. Yeah, man, I think that Star Wars law, we're past that. Especially coming next year, 2026, 2027 is packed with everything that's been announced.
And then if we start thinking that maybe we get a movie every year or every other year plus an animated series and they keep going with that tailsoft, there's a lot. There's a lot to keep us very happy. I think we'll have another law in after visions ends from there all the way to the next show, which we don't know when that will be or may for the Mandewangrulu. But after that, it's going to be downhill in a sense from there.
It's going to be things after things because then after that we're going to start getting ready for the next movie as a season two, animated series, everything. So it'll be very nice. It's the only one when the secret trilogy came out and then you have all the stand-alone in between like every week, everything. There was always something new, new images and information.
But we'll get to it. Obviously I had to pull out my blue light that I mentioned. It's my little lightsaber light. So that's my light today.
It made me reconsider my lighting situation. So thank you for that. You're welcome. The other thing that I was going to say, if you're the kind of person who doesn't enjoy having Star Wars in your life every week, enjoy the silence.

We won't build around it. So Star Wars celebration day three, like I mentioned, final day of it. We're recapping everything and we're going to jump straight to it. We won't very that lead.
We won't wait till the end of the episode. What everyone was waiting for yesterday was where is Star Wars celebration going to be in 2027? Is the 50th anniversary? Are they coming back to the States?
Are they going to say in Europe? Europe, we had our thoughts yesterday of where we I think wanted it to be because it will be a lot easier for us. But yes, 2027 Star Wars celebration lost and has April 1st to April 4th back to the four day format. I was a little bit confused.
I thought it was always three days because these three days in Japan was a lot. Just couch going was a lot. So we have four days starting on Thursday, April 1st. April 1st day, I'm sorry.
I call your job that you want. But are they big news? It's like in the States we can maybe there's a chance we'll make it out there. It's two years to cleanse.
So initial thoughts on this. I want to go to the April 1st thing. I was telling Tony that April 1st. It will probably be like a known.
So for like from 8am to known, it's going to be a bombardment of fake news. So get ahead of that. You have two years to plan for that. Just watch it.
Not coming straight from Star Wars account. Even the people that are retweeting and reposting live over there. Watch the live stream. You have two years to get ready for that misinformation company.
My second thought is LA, so far away, still very expensive. But I'll tell you the same thing. I'll tell Tony I will do everything I can to be there. If I have interferes and I can't, but it's couch con again.
I'll be happy to be there. I couch con, but I will do everything in my power to be there. I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
You thought about going to Star Wars celebration at some point. Do you see yourself trying to be, let's say Los Angeles trying to be there for the four days or at least get one day in? No, no. If I'm going there, I'm going there for the four days.
Okay. Probably try to do a Napa Valley trip. So I'm allowed to go. You're all enough now to go over there.
No, but you know what? I would love to go to the Galaxy Central where there also, like if I'm there, I'll try to get there. Yeah, it's just, it's one of those things when you have to fly so far, stay here whole week and then do all the stuff around it. I know if it was down in Orlando somewhere, somewhere close, I would try to at least go once.
I mean, for one day, I don't know if I could make it all four or three. But I understand if you're flying eight hours away, let's make a day of it, right? Let's take the whole trip. Yeah, I was selling Tony.
I'll be living in Massachusetts at that point. So like, celebration London and celebration really is the same thing. So I'm going to say, sorry, LA traffic sucks and the public transit. Yes, I'm very, I've only been to LA once and my takeaway was like, how horrible the traffic is Tony was telling me like, Oh, I have some friends there.
We could bunk with them. I'm like, I'll be a 33 year old man at that point. Like I'm not staying in anyone's couch. I saw there was a hotel in front of the convention center.
I will be staying there. Yeah, yes. You go from the airport, get an Uber straight to the hotel and then just walk the whole time. Yep.
If there's no good food, I'll over eat or something. Yeah. Oh, you guys, keep an eye on their channel, their party have something coming up or made a fourth. I may have contributed something.
So I'll talk about it when I can. I don't, I can't give hints, but I don't want to spoil it. So yeah, I already dropped a little hint here on my house. Hey, 27, what's it got to our life?
So we'll see. It's not really difficult, but we'll see. I told my wife like, I think we're going to LA April, 20, 20, 20, she's like, why? I'm like, we'll see.
Just think about it. Start making plans, place you would like to go. But yeah, 20, 20, 50, anyway, so it's going to be a huge, can't even start to think what might happen over there. I'm sure they're already planning for it.
And it's going to be a big, it's a, what a month and a half before the new movie drops are before a store fighter. So congratulations to all the people in to Japan and congratulations to around the spring to celebration. And hopefully things have come down a little bit of people from other States can feel safe flying in, which I know is going to be very difficult. Not much will have changed.
years something has to happen. It will either get very, very much better or it'll get very, very worse. It's one of those things that you can say, well, at least it has nothing changed. We stay the same.
We're bad right now. That's the way I address the change. But anyway, all right. So let's go ahead.
Let's talk about the big panel yesterday. Third day, I don't want to say not a lot to announce. There was a lot of stuff going on, but the big thing was Bishan season three. And I saw you tweeted that you got emotional when they said that they're doing the continuation of three of the shorts.
And the village bride, the ninth Jedi, and the dual I get in continuation stories, the continuing stories, follow up sequels, whatever you want to call it. Bishan's volume three. I don't know if I said season three volume three. The initial thoughts are the I know I saw what you both said, but you were very excited for this.
Especially for the next day. I was super excited. I, you know, I like fidget is enough. I know some people just adore it.
I am just a casual visions fan. But when they when they flat out started with three of the short start getting sequels and it's the village ride and it's the Ronan the I was like, what? So when I said I got emotional, I was like excited emotionally. It got a reaction out of me that I was not expecting.
And then seeing what we saw for the new ones, I was truly blown away. I was very happy with that panel. I love the panel. This is the only one I had written down for day three.
And I'm not disappointed this celebration. I want, eh, but this didn't disappoint. I'll be honest, the news that they're doing sequels to some of them through me for a look a little bit. I love that the vision kind of DNA is always something new.
So when it was, oh, we're going back and kind of doing a sequel to episodes that we had before, I was a little bit like, ah, they cannot throw this a little bit away. I know everything that you can do with visions. But again, once I started seeing all the concept all day show, they saw little clips of some of the episodes. And then of course, that's Cecil Rio will watch in a minute.
I'm like, who cares? Look at, especially that do we got a lot from the doors like Jesus Christ. I want to see this and the nice J that I was probably my second favorite of season one of volume one. So yeah, maybe it's not what I expected.
But same as we said before. What do you want? For me, visions is just always going to be something new. So going back and refold me some stories.
So we kind of took away from what I saw the DNA of it. But this is going from the same creators. It's not like look as we're me telling them, hey, no, you got to do this because he finds love this. If they have a story to tell them, I'm fine with it.
I just wanted something new stories from those same studios. I can see that. For me, specifically the ninth year, I was so much like watching that short of me like, this could be its own thing. This is like so interesting.
And it's far enough in the timeline that it could be canon. And then being like, no, diving deeper into that. All the questions that you had, all the, you know, and it takes a little bit of a way of demonstrating which made it fun, but still them being like, we're fleshing out that world of the ninth year. I'm like, go right ahead.
I remember when visions of volume one came out, the nice J that was the one that most people were saying if something has to be canon, this could be it. Like it fits perfectly on it. And just watching it, if you don't even care about canon, just watching was a great, a great episode, a great little show to keep. Get a continuation of it from the same team.
And we'll talk in a minute of it. Don't even further that you hinted at it. There's something there. They're not just, eh, let me just do it.
There's something there if they're gone to the, to the lens that they've gone to. By the way, I just want to quickly comment. I was seeing some chatter in the chat. The celebration 20, 27 is in LA, not Anaheim.
Something that I've learned recently is not the same. So. Do I learn recently? Unfortunately, the tragedy happened a couple months ago with the fire scene in LA.
LA counties like four counties. It's not just little Los Angeles. It's huge over there. So, right.

I mean, it's something that I love. They did in Japan when they were going straight to the Japanese creators and the writers and writers. Let's give that interview in Japanese moderators. We're from over there.
You don't get lost in translation with translator who do their best. OK. We didn't get out of it. We didn't understand what's going on.
But you could tell a little bit different watching that. OK, let's go to your notes. No, no, no, no. I was going to say I don't know.
I was going to say that during my conversation with Tony. I was telling him like, I didn't write a lot down because I didn't understand what they were talking about. And like, there were some cool pieces of heart that I saw that I like, but didn't know what they were. But thank you to the people in Twitter that either spoke Japanese or were Japanese and were translating everything.
I mean, not line by line, but yeah. Oh, this segment is going to be this. And that was very helpful. So all right.

I got to go back, of course, before volume three comes out. I'll rewatch all the ones that we're getting. So I have to 1000% rewatch all three of them. Yeah.
Well, let's go. I mean, all of the, I know last time I for volume two, I said, I have somebody animated myself, didn't mess well with me. That's why I didn't connect with some of the episodes. Everything that we saw, it's right off my alley.
I love everything that we saw that we got the dual payback. I have this image for you because I know that you love that little mouse drawer with a creature inside of it. I'll be surprised. I did not really pay attention to that.
I was more focused on the freaking at it or the Japanese temple on the back. Oh, yeah. That's what, yeah. That's what caught my attention.
I think it was a like 8K RK something like that. Then that wookie, Mad Max. I wonder, they might just be background characters, but they go through all these. Whatever.
Design. They look at this was my favorite. Maybe, you know, little freaking pray mentis. Don't stay with the Japanese tower.
Just looks great. I was able to zoom in. I guess there's a mantis in the cantina in any hope. And they said, they were saying, ah, it's just in the background.
So you're okay to use this one. It doesn't matter. So that dual payback will be the continuation of the first episode. I mean, the dual is the one that we got in novels comics.
There's a lot of. So they released this act this black series figure for the bill. That was incredible. I wanted it, but it was 70 bucks.
And I don't know if I want more toys. But just a box alone was insane. Well, you gotta get little, little things now. See, this is the only thing I have a little some being there.
That's true. That's a slayer, doorables. Yeah, I don't have space for big stuff anymore, unfortunately. Unless it's a helmet or lightsaber, but yeah, I'm stealing back.
Anyway, we keep going with the last ones. The Willis Bride, this was one of those episodes I did in Connected, as much as most people did. I know fans of the Willis Bride love the Willis Bride unconditionally. I wasn't there.
I enjoyed it, but hopefully the last one gets me a little bit more. Yeah, if you probably go back to where you on the guy saying like, I don't know why people love it. I kind of think I remember liking it, but I don't know. I remember when the hills change and she put out the lightsaber and did that dash and everyone fell in love with it.
I remember that. I don't remember. I'll remember this going forward with this Jukos treasure and the most lovable panda with a microwave or whatever it is. That's the only thing we took away from that.
I swear, it's the only words we got. The short they show for that was cool. It was great. And it's huge.
This is like Baymax, basically. Yeah. It's huge. I'll take it.
All the cute stuff in Sawart is awesome. Then we got this Moggler, which seems to be, at least from that trailer, that's actually real might be a little bit more on the fun side. I think they're in the right in the spiller. Look pretty cool.
They set the ground and it reminds them of Han, but I don't know which of the two girls I'm guessing the one with the pink hair. Yeah, I'm guessing it's the one on this side also. All right, we follow with the bounty hunters. I love that droid.
I don't know if it's destroyed or a different one in the CISO reel that has a bunch of things looks like a Gundam mech. So looking forward to bounty hunters. They said that one was super action-packed. Yeah.
The bounty hunters. That song of four wings, they have a cool little droid. I had an image for it. I just took it out because there's too much.
I'm sorry I didn't grab the name of all the studio. I'm sorry doing this. I think for this one, if you look at the CISO reel, this is the one with the girls. The droid freaking transference wings.
That's why I love that twin. It's my favorite one because just nuts. By the way, when they said they were making new ones, I was a fun that we didn't get the triplets. I mean, come on.
There's a story there. You can do a story. It was open ended. I love this one.
This one was going to be in Star Wars. Perfection. The birds of paradise. The first image was this trailer.
Very artistic. I'm like, ah, this might be the one that doesn't match with me. And then they show this image. I'll take everything back.

I'm sorry I doubted you, but this looks nuts also. The music gets very prog rock. It's like with a reverse something and then turns into jazz all of a sudden. Like La Leland jazz.
Like, sure. That was amazing. Yeah, so something we know about these stormtroopers. You don't know about the people inside of these stormtroopers.
Their story, mass broke and down. You can see half their faces. So yeah, this seems to be a trip. So this is one that I'm really excited for.
All right. So, all day before, oh, October 29, 2025. So we do get another Star Wars animation project at the end of the year. It's going to be very, there's a lot of stuff still to come out.
I could have sworn they had sent me fourth. So when they set up, 29th I was like, oh. Maybe. No, I don't think last time it's come out my fourth.
But now the other one. I'm not in there. I think. Anything before we go to that Cecil Rio.
And actually, before we talk about the Cecil Rio, let's talk about this new direction. So they came out and said, we have a couple of announcements first that date. Then the Cecil Rio will show and I mean, I'll talk about it. So now this new direction for Star Wars visions, Star Wars visions presents all starting 2026.
Long form narrative still disconnected from Canada. So they can do whatever stories they want. And they're starting with the nice J-Lack. Separate from that second episode we're getting a new story in that universe.
I was not confused. I didn't know if it was going to be one long hour and a half episode. Is it a movie limited a full season? And then someone else posted that they said it's going to be a limited series.
I don't know if that's three, that could be five, it could be a full season and then switch to a different one. So we go. Yeah, Tonya. I had not heard the whole, it's going to be a limited series thing.
But that makes sense. But I asked Tony the film student, like what's this long for me? And he's like, it literally means anything from 30 minutes to a five hour movie. All right.
So limited series can be five, 15 minutes episode. But whatever it is, if we want continuation story, I think they mentioned that. Which is going to be expanded explanation of how the Kyber crystals work in that universe or what all the lights have its worst. So the lightsaber maker, everything.
Again, I'm very, very excited for this. So yeah, looks great. Can't wait for it. And then it was, yeah, we got a little something to show you.
We do have a season real and love how they went. It's not a trailer. It's not a trailer. Dude, what is coming out in the trailer business?
They were like, it's just something we put on kind of like what they showed in the Ahsoka panel that were just like random concept ourselves. Okay. And no, it's a trailer, man. That's a trailer.

This is why, if you want to expand on these story of Star Wars and not mess with the known canon, this is a way to go. There's no negative to this. Even if a whole season tanks it really doesn't matter. They were also like starting to be like, hey, that's coming So I mean I get it. It's fine.
Yeah, I was thinking earlier today as I was busy doing your work You have to do when you're a homeowner and it's kind of still bound that we didn't get that 20 year panel for rent To stay here for the first weekend still When I start to think it's not easy to go to Japan for a 30 minute panel or a one hour panel or a 10 minute interview A lot of these people are pretty busy. I know they see really has like three different wishes I know you're going they sign a country star wars. You're gonna make the time That's all I'm gonna say. All right, well, no fish French So I understand if people are busy I know if if Australia's like is really coming back for them or all universal with Whatever is doing over there.
Finn. Maybe don't just bring John boy. I guess maybe okay If you can't get a big three to comment and don't do it for the Revenge of the seed Hayden Christensin was there he showed up like twice I'm sure you can get some of the others you want my Greg I don't know what he's doing if he gets there if you get just you and I hate and then yeah You can make a panel for the whole thing. Yeah, my German maybe didn't want to fly 12 hours So we got to Japan so one thing if you start thinking kind of the difficulties to get there then maybe make sense still bomb about it But what can you do?
Okay, I'm gonna say my piece. I get what you're saying. I get it But I'm thinking for example for the Phantom Manas panel. I don't know if it wasn't there Big Lloyd wasn't there Liam Neeson wasn't there.
It wasn't my Gregor wasn't there. They still did it for for return with the Jedi I'm sure God bless her so wasn't there Harrison for wasn't there Mark Hamill wasn't there George Lucas wasn't there Well, he died So you don't need the stars to be there I'm sorry if you can do those panels without those people you could have done a revenge with the set panel with Hayden Christensin I'm at best Anthony Daniels and I don't know Chiang or someone from Ilem you could have done those things You don't need your cast to be there to celebrate the movies and I know this wasn't very Mando heavy because it's the next movie coming out But this reminded me a lot of those early celebrations Before like Lucas film and like oh people like the prequels where you couldn't find anything Sure related to the prequels and it kind of felt the same way for revenge of the sieve which was weird because it's the universally beloved wrinkle movie and Nothing for the sequel trilogy like I That's my favorite trilogy and I could not find anything related to the sequel trilogy like the badges which were amazing but no nothing Kylo Ren nothing ray related and Doesn't works the 10th anniversary of Lucas film being reborn in a way and they celebrated the 20 and the 20-25th anniversary of 20 anniversary of animation and I don't know. I really think you could have done something they did the whole animation thing without the cast Actually, X scene was the only one who was there So I don't know resistance they did keep resistance out of it for most of it. Oh There you go.
So I I I'm upset about this and I will continue to be 2017 2027 will be the 10th year of the last Jedi if they hit first away because I can't imagine them having last Jedi front and center for that one I was telling Tony would be hilarious if you know Star Wars celebration all last Jedi Screw you fans. We're gonna have a five-hour panel on the live stage No, those are my thoughts like I was very disappointed on how they handled those two movies I think they were not they did not get a representation data certain at all. Okay. I won't talk about revenge on the safe The movie can defend itself.
It doesn't need us to defend itself. No, I'll say watching the all-weekend whole celebration It never crossed my mind. Oh, there's nothing sequel trilogy related But here you talk about and then okay Let me wrap my wrap my mind about it was nothing really the only thing was yes the next movie happens after episode nine And that was it and Reminding us he's been an every movie that's it. Yeah, it does feel weird that they didn't do something to talk about at least the For some weekends makes them because he's done.
Anyway, sorry Well, it's something related to the sequel trilogy so Actors someone from the sequel to really to come out. They had pro-dameron coming to do that 10 years of all them around unfortunately that God, he canceled the last middle of this is I know I said before I'm I basically going back to the moon I for the MC on that's why I think both of them is bigger than moon night So he could have been there for that I hope they don't fall to the same thing that happened applicable to the facility that they can put on the background under Until people started appreciating it. They announced a rainbow with two years ago. I think that's exactly what's happening.
Like honestly, I think that's exactly what's happened If we got the whole Avengers thing and Oscar Isaac was not announced so if he's there, I'm guessing he's a glorified cameo If he skipped on celebration for a glorified cameo, I'm sorry. They're like, what the hell are you doing? Yes, I you probably need a paycheck the movie if the movie can't move on without you being there for five days To shoot sicker dooms that whatever the nice one is I to show it now. I doubt it's their caution day one.

We used to get 22 episodes every year blah blah blah It's a different landscape goes goes on to say that every episode that you see 45 minutes is months of work It takes two and a half years to film a season So there's a lot of work behind it. It's impossible basically to do a show like and or and deliver every single year If you want me to stay in on that caliber So I understand why people want it now or more quickly But if you take this into account like it makes sense where it takes a lot I'm gonna use my my F bomb for the day.

You could not go back and check because there wasn't three So and that's why my parents owned the whole sopranos series I would buy the new season because when the new one would Came out we had no idea what happened so we had to watch the last episode so again like Alan is saying that it's already planning season.

They have very different shows But the pit had something that no show has had every single episode had more views than the previous one and that's a complete anomaly That's something we have not seen happen. Yeah, I saw people posted this wall of helmets that they have on display over there All the hours they're just looking at this is freaking out and I wouldn't make it to any panel Sometimes people don't get to any of the panel with a lot of reason whatever but there's so much All this stuff to do Do you see the people who rented a booth just to do like a cosplay of ILM in the 70 No, you see that though. They were doing a cosplay and they were playing the people from ILM with the signing the trench run and They just had a post for that. Oh Amazing.

There's like a whole fight with these are something that's not in the game. So I'm like, okay, interesting Um Yeah, they've changed a lot by the way they As I mentioned, there are things that happen later on in the game that shouldn't happen in this episode that don't happen and I was like That conversation is super important. Why aren't they talking right now? Why is that person walking away?
