De Tour Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes is voorlopig de ronde van de ontsnappingen. Na Alex Baudin en Anthon Charmig, was ook de derde rit in lijn er eentje voor de vluchters. Al zat het vandaag allemaal wat dichter bij elkaar.
