Again, we started a little bit late today, it's 7pm down here Eastern time, but it's fine And our friend doesn't matter if we're on at 5, 7pm, 2pm in the afternoon He's always around, it's Dale, thank you Dale for joining us Page Turner's, they were not, hello there, hello there friend And he can't be forgotten, he can't be missed The original, one of the original listeners from Wayback Wind, Dale Skywalker That's so weird, I get a pop on notification for your video, nobody else But when I go to notifications, I can't find it It doesn't matter, you got the notification, you're here just in time working for me now That's gonna be me, probably later taking a nap, Dale Thank you for joining us, Brandon and Dale as always Alright, so yeah, if you guys are ready, I'm not ready Let's go ahead and talk Star Wars and Star Wars News Star Wars News It's been a while since we talked Star Wars News There's a couple of things that have happened Some have been rumors, some have been actors or directors A lot of Star Fire talk out there Things out in Mandalorian, how it changed from The Land Rover from Season 4 of the Mandalorian to another movie I didn't cover those, it didn't seem like we're near to the whole show, just on those couple of episodes Because we need a little break Over back today, we're gonna cover a couple of those news items Before we jump into our big, main theme today, our main topic So let's start with some Star Wars News out there And the first one, the big one is, three years from now, but in 2027 The original Star Wars episode 4 is coming back to the theater to celebrate the 50 years of Star Wars So this came straight from Star Wars.com On February 19, 2027, we'll celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Wars With a re-release of the 1977 original back-world limited time in theaters Everywhere, part of Lucas Williams' year-long 50th anniversary celebration A newly-restored version of the classic Star Wars' 1977 theatrical release Later, reading Star Wars and Hope, all playing theaters for a limited time Great news for everyone out there This is the version that I think every Star Wars fan Or I'll say, a Vino fan, I'm not sure I expect anyone that came in afterwards Like myself, I came in afterwards But the people that watched the original trilogy way back when we came out before the re-release And the new special editions, they've been asking for the original version for decades And I thought that George Lucas said that this wasn't gonna happen ever But something happened, and now we're getting them At least a new lore, or as you say Star Wars episode 4 is coming out The original version, it says it's newly restored We'll see what that means after some 4K version or something But no changes, so this one I'm gonna watch I know sometimes when they get re-released for 10 anniversary So things like that I'm able to make it through movie theaters This tale of the movie theater right now is kind of Prekos with all the backstage back door dealing It's out there with WB Netflix, but I'm not gonna be in Netflix far on whatever's gonna happen It's not a crisis for everyone, no deal, the very two states are setting prices so pretty high But anyways, I'm gonna make it to this one I wanna see the original version in the theater so I'm gonna see how that looks like So are you guys going? I'm sure everyone else out there is going so very happy for this So another news site that came a couple weeks ago There's a lot of Starfighter news, I know we've talked about it last time, we were here I don't last time that week before, we're getting more Starfighter news than actually the Mandalorian and Grogon movie Which comes out in what's five months? Because if I had months or something like that, we got one trailer There were rumors that we were getting a second trailer this past week But the Wonder Woman trailer came out as opposed to the Star Wars They wouldn't release anything, I have to catch up to Wonder Woman or have to battle for that attention Supposedly it might come out next week or something Excuse me, if it comes with maybe a quick show just cover If we get on the trailer for the Mandalorian and Grogon So yeah, Starfighter, we got a couple years signed and real quick The third act had to be reworked Director Sean Levi, he was in a podcast and he came out and said there was something unexpected on Starfighter It was you had a whole different idea for something in third act and then things didn't align And I was forced to come up with a new idea And I'm literally right now shooting that section of the movie And every day I'm grateful that the way I was supposed to do it didn't work out Because the new idea that it forced me to explore is so much better than the original idea would have been Again, not knowing anything about the movie business that actually happens I think it doesn't seem as surprising as for people are making it out to see Anyone that's donating creative, they have an idea of what they want to do And when it gets put into practice it might be in 10 different directions Every writer knows it, you start writing a book with an idea Beginning middle end and as you're writing the characters taking different directions New ideas up into your head So maybe that was that he had an idea for something that he didn't work out He said that things didn't align so they don't expect it to happen And things didn't align he was forced to come up with a new idea A lot of people myself included the first thing that we thought well There were rumors that they're taking this kid to Rey and to the new Jedi Academy What if the stage is that now Rey is not gonna show up?
That's a big deal That was what changed maybe Maybe it's the other way Rey wasn't going to be there Now she is or it changed in that sense Maybe if the hunt for Ben Solo just added somehow that's not gonna happen But we can we can we can we can dream I'll be drinking a lot of water today again for my congestion So I'm not afraid I'm not skeptical I'm not scared I'm not panicking I'm happy that Sean Liby's out there openly talking about this movie We just saw it today that Matt Smith or yesterday I think came out I just saw it today Matt Smith was in a do that show out in London and Europe Had a new short haircut and a V-shape Lupin's hair was pushed forward or self forward very short cut Shoe cut I said he just finished shooting his Star Wars part He had to cut his hair for the part I don't make that means he cut his hair And then he gets away or something like prosthetic on top of his hair or that's his hair It doesn't matter the point is that he came in I think about a month ago He was saying that he was starting he was going to start shooting So people thought that he wasn't going to have that big part a big apart on the movie Which maybe that's the case but he just finished shooting a couple days ago So like you said a couple two or three weeks at least of shooting So I think it'll be prominent Again, I'm glad that we're getting all this information out I think we're gonna start seeing trailers and official pictures a lot sooner than we think Even the name for the movie the title came out we'll talk about that in a little bit when we talk about Oh recap of 2025 But yeah, third act of star fight had to be reworked Something happened along the way that didn't align Maybe they changed things in the first two thirds of the movie And then those didn't match with what the only ending was going to be and again that happens And then that's what needed to change so I am happy that we're getting this more information for star fighter Give me give me more We got more star fighter new saxophone composer has been announced on us new man Just by name. I wasn't familiar with him wasn't but I'm familiar with this game Shawshank Redemption wrote to by dish and find the name of these are great movies Great musical scores Sean Lee was also said he wants he wanted to grab someone that has those classical themes That gives themes to different people characters or situations So we're gonna get themes it won't be a rehash of the John Williams score with my take some What's the word I can't remember and I was not gonna be a remake where my kind of Have some of those stones underneath I think that's fine. I think that's what most new composers have done apart from The kindness I think everyone has done their own thing And then kind of weaving the John Williams score or some of those themes in and out I love the solo score. I love the Rogue One score.
I think they're underrated I do miss the original themes in a lot of movies and TV shows that we watch on the new ones I think they just don't want to harm too much on it Because they had a lot of make their own thing I think we need them. I think we need the original score or those themes there I always talk about this with all this that I think that fourth theme it's so prominent in a new hope But now it's really youth is just for those big yes, finally I hear against the lightsaber We're finally that character. Yes, that person is a Jedi. That's when we hear this score That Jedi thing I should say It's very prominent in a new hope and when we talk about the force awakens, it's very prominent in the force awakens awesome That's that's that score hits with a punch that thing So if they can find a way to grab some of those classical star wars theme and still put into the moves and TV I think it worked better in connecting everything to star wars But in general all those course have been great.
There's not one that really don't enjoy So I can't wait to see what Thomas Newan does with Starfighter And then finally yesterday, I think it was for two days ago I guess the video game award so the game whatever they call the game awards and I say two new star wars games were announced people are going nuts about them First one is Star Wars fate of the old republic. A lot of people thought we're getting nice on the old republic three This might be it looks great But I guess this is a starter company this won't come out for another two or three years I guess it's part for the course for video games who still have the jedi I said jedi council not are falling jedi that once you come out before then i'm guessing But it looked great the cinematic trailer looked great anything Excuse me anything old republic is gonna get a lot of people excited I'm okay. You guys know i'm not the biggest gaming right out there right now I'll see if I can play this when it comes out. It looked interesting.
I wait to see more of what is story to be Is it going to have anything to do with that James mango Do not the jedi movie no idea For games I don't care about canon and a lot of people do they want everything to be canon interconnected That's hard. I don't really care. It does look like an interesting game Another one that was announced. I was very interested in a very fun.
I should say is galactic racer And that's what it is. It's a racing game. It's gonna happen in jakku. There is pot racers there Speaters there's all the types of ship.
It looks fun. It looks awesome. So ballba is there again That's I don't care. I love it.
You could just have all the nakin racing against young nakin and bring Han Solo and rain to speeders I don't care just email fundraising game. This one looks great. You guys know I've been pitching A star wars racing movie or racing tv show with star fighters like if star fighters was a racing movie I would be so excited. I wish this was a tv show.
You may have animated racing tv show for star wars I would prefer it more than the video game, but it looks fun. I love playing different racing games You can just hop on for 15 20 minutes a lot of laps. So that's it. That's fun.
Hopefully I can play them So yeah guys let me know what you think about freight of the old republic and the galactic racer game And daily it says not is not excited for the game Just one more story in the old republic time and I agree Old republic we're an opponent star wars right now. I think it's very very interesting with I think we talked about this here probably at nalsion Star Wars seems to be veering into two different directions Let's go and explore what happens at the after episode nine with star fighter the race car worker movie then the Just forget the where his name is that trilogy. They're supposed to be again again a lot of medicine is in my body right now So I'm not forgetting names The i wanna say tony go over not you know, I mean it's doing a trilogy that's supposedly not connected but around the same time period after episode nine And then what james man gold and everything happening over there 20,000 10 thousand 10 thousand or every thousands of years ago So if we get stories on those both ends of the star wars the arches spectrum 10,000 years ago old republic and then keep pushing forward to the future Give me that we've covered that in between at least those 50 years more or less Let's see what's happened on the other end. So i'm very excited for what we can get like they'll mention the old republic side And then everything over there.

Yeah, I don't know what lay astrila is but i'll take that day for loni movie As so kazism to we will connect to a mandalorian will see what happens with that We get the mandalorian then that day for loni movie and then we get a trilogy to end it I can start with this to this I wouldn't be surprised. It's that the way that we go All right. So before we move to our main topic one of our main topics i'm gonna say with christmas car I got my an early christmas birthday is this boba fed uh bandai figure get up put together yourself It's a little bit difficult, but there you go and I get always if for people that know how to post their figures This one is okay.
If I knew how to post my figures will be a little a little bit It looks great there. I want to say after christmas everyone just shows your star wars hall Ah, all right. So let's go to our first of them in topics and it is the force awakens 10 years is the return of star wars to the movie theaters the return of the tree logies We were back 10 years after revenge of the sit we get the force awakens And I can't believe it's been it's been 10 years since This movie came out. So at the same time I can there's so much has happened and the star wars universe After the between the force awakens out came out and today there's been so many stories so many news rumors celebrations trailers toys tv series animated series books Then on one end really has been 10 years already and on the other man which lives so much since then in terms of real lives Like I don't know how many like three different presidential elections pandemics hurricanes Genocites everything that's going on in the world 10 years since the force awakens came out And if you go to the fandom, I was gonna why can't we just go back to that time before the force awakens said everyone was happy and excited but let's talk about it real quick That first experience I'm sure everyone remembers their first time watching the force awakens trailer Came out that thanksgiving weekend a year before the movie came out.
I remember I was saying I mean my officer was outside in But it's basically the dining room in our house in a little corner that my wife had said on there with her computer Also her computer. I think I used to watch movie trailers Like apple trailers or item trailers something with apple related I was the waiting a refresh and a refreshing and it finally came up And I watched that trailer. I can't remember that's where the first trailer or teaser that I watched over and over and over probably 10 times in that time frame It was I think I got 45 second trailer It starts with all the swing and awake and half you felt it I think we get calorane walking down the steps. No, that's at the end that's how it ends or close to it Uh, frame coming out of the stormtrooper dropping in so I'm where we get that speeder or BB8 running through calorane walking out of the That's so that we never get in the movie turns off his lightsaber the cross yard We go nuts for the cross guards in for the first time Then a millennium falcon comes out with those two Thai fighters following and everyone went nuts It's probably one of the best experience we've had a star wars fans watching that trailer at teaser for the first time The cross yard took everyone but so fast.
I wasn't already that new star was lightsaber And how many memes if you want to call it back in 2014 that weren't memes or everyone had their design the course through the swiss army knife How does it work like say we still work that way? What's the point of a cross? You're gonna go through it. It doesn't matter.
There is one of the greatest reveals and of course in the millennium falcon again I know for most people out there that truly were home trailer is their favorite one I think I like this one better that he saw just blew us out of the water. I love everything about that trailer I just watched the movie yesterday also There's a reason this movie is in my top three star wars movie so far from beginning to end I love almost everything about this movie but that first teaser trailer there we go We know there's no heroes. It's a stone trooper going through it It's a weird guy in a mess with a cool lightsaber and then we lemme lemme lemme falcon is back with Thai fighters chasing it As star wars fans that what we when we couldn't ask what more Yeah, I don't remember how long we had to wait for the actual trailer to drop Well, that teaser gave us a lot to be hopeful for that we were gearing up for that first star was moving So my first watch experience. I remember I asked for the day off from work obviously You know enough Friday.
I bought my ticket not for the first show and I think that first showing was around nine in the morning I couldn't make it at nine. I'll say I go later Uh, I had to take my kids to school. My wife went to work I think I took her find out. No, I'm just saying.
Yeah, I remember driving through the movie theaters past the movie theater Sorry to take my wife to work. I'll be honest. I can't remember if I was second to work if I or if I only work half day and then I think I would I don't work. I went by at nine Line out.
Sorry. I went by at eight. The first showing was around nine thirty or ten Line out the theater around that corner. So I like oh my god.
This is gonna be nuts Like again outside is it nine eight in the morning the lines already outside the theater I think that there maybe wasn't open but anyway line. It's already eight thirty in the morning lines outside Like come back. I get ready. I go to my showing Ten thirty like was pretty early.
No line outside which I was thankful for. I thought it was gonna be out for two hours out there But it was some lying inside and people coming out. Everyone's unhappy And I remember sitting down and watching I talked about this every time we talked about the first awaken So I was scared I'm a star wars going into it. Is it going to feel like star wars?
Has it been too long? It's not George Lucas Oh, the other side of the galaxy the first one had come out To me, that's what I want from a star wars movie that epic adventuring that sci-fi fantasy realm So I thought I thought I was even managed to get close to what that wish guardian was and it started I don't want I didn't took me a while. I'll say I said before it's like this is good I don't know if this is Star Wars. Yeah, this and an X-Wing there.
There's stone troopers. I don't know But I'll say again when the garbage will do I said no that was garbage I like wait and stuck out the falcon and then they blew up the the quad jumper the garbage will do when they take that coin on the most It didn't end and then then then then then then then don't copyright me this thing Well, they take that corner and that's when I say okay. That's why I said true we were hope That's real of Star Wars and the escape to the saw the john tried to study story john. That's when I was able to finally relax I say okay, one good hands.
I watch a star wars movie. I'm enjoying myself. Tell me for a ride For that point on I loved it. It's a was a great experience.
I came out of it so happy Um back then I wasn't I wasn't in Star Wars found on my didn't do the show Wasn't on twitter. I think I wasn't I tell him no I got into the fandom later after russia skywalk It was mostly me and so my family my brother is talking about it Just love that first experience of what's again on that big on the big screen I mean in the movie theaters and then went to what was gonna come next with the following movie So let's talk about the new heroes that we went to do the first one of course is ray Now known as ray skywalker back then ray from nowhere ray can no be ray solo We had all the theories where alder who ray was or her parentage were who said that her mom was the only one And satin really have a child. Maybe it is Luke's long lost child with um, arajade everything was out there solo Maybe this is the twins decided twins with her and calo all the theories were out there But ray will focus on the first awakens what a character what introduction still if you asked our fans out this I mean there was like top three top five character introduction of all time just starting No music no sandwiches her in that junk joint side. I started story just speaking at part for parts Just in that two-minute scene as she's rappelling and free soloing that story story We get that sense of this character.
She's leaving her place in this junk junk your planet by herself having to make things Makes and meet you get the character just in that introduction. So you know everything she's gone through We know she's been there for years for decades. So that complaint that people say oh she doesn't suffer Everything no we just they just spend this to me not telling you just look at what she's going to understand this guy And then when she has to fight off the emke plot uh thoughts Data so fighting behind us is good with a stick Um, she understood understand by narrative she touched a lot of droids So we know that this character there's more to her than just kind of rummaging for stuff But man, you gotta love this guy than this journey as she took and all people who say I was the same thing that look Not really yet. They're not there's a planet and they want more from life.
Not really She just wants to be there and fight her parents Look was always looking to the future right always looking to her eyes and not paying attention to the That day in the house. So that's very different between look and and ray. Yeah, they're just Both from from a desert planet about their journey to get to where they go into so being a jetter was very different She's there. She just wants to help.
She wants to help that old lady that's there she wants to help bba because Tito is gonna take him and selling for parts. She doesn't sell him to uncork plot Um, she helps fin. She wants to go back Uh to jacou and wait for her parents. So she's come on.
It makes the best right? She's one of the best Uh, so I love that we see this journey this journey through her eyes as the main character Well, he introduction in the first awaken her introduction to star wars and the journey that she took there from that first And I would see her to the end where she gets that lightsaber and again presents it to look further down One of the best kind of journey for a star was going to attend that first introduction Then we got fin something we've noticed in before stormtrooper that decides to call it quits and go his own path Uh, I know we've made a joke here also years ago that he was only screaming his cream spray his cream snow and all this stuff Well, doesn't matter fin was another great character in star wars. Uh, his introduction here has the stone trooper that doesn't shoot Uh, we see that there's something behind him that he doesn't want to participate in this massacre that they're doing in jacou and calorang gets there Again, he just wants to run and it takes him that journey almost requires removal Yeah, he just wants to get away from the first order while when ray gets taken then a switch and oh no I gotta go to overseas as I gotta get a helper. Even if it's just a safe ray He's not there to fight the first order or to help their resistance.
He does the right thing in coming back But it's something new that we haven't seen in stores. It's I was stone trooper decides to know this is too much like they took me when I was the other Conscript me, uh was mauled it into being the scaling machine, but I didn't do it And as soon as I don't I'm just thrown to the garbage Uh taking for recondition and they're gonna basically killing me if it doesn't change his ways So we got a lot in this movie how that stone trooper dynamic work with captain fasten otoka hainamino With all the other stone troopers that we're gonna continue with stone troopers and what hulk's wanted to do His program bring back the cloning So a lot of new information or new insights into the stone troopers in this movie But fiend even from the trailers and the t-shirt that we see him in the movie taking off his stone To worry and a poetic right shedding his old skin and getting to a new one where he gets into jaku Surely funny when he goes and drinks from the helper board Jumbo yegas comelik tiny was great in this movie his interaction with bba especially the first half when they meet is awesome His relationship with pro as it grows on that first meeting all the way to the end The fiend pou fandom out there that loves it, but yeah fiend was another great character I know people will say that he was on the use in the trilogy and that's Like mass canata would say a story for a different day Today we'll focus on the force awakens. I know the Post-a-shoulder with the lightsaber the trailer show him with the lightsaber and that's what people thought He was a misdirection at least for this movie. I think he's part was pretty good I love and jumbo yegas brought into it.
I think fiend is a great character in this first movie Again, we can't talk about the other some different day. Well Yet i love big deal. It's a big deal with the resistance and of course pull them around and bb8 are the other ones Everyone knows that the story po was gonna die pretty early on with us die fighter crushes on jaku but Also, I said hey, I've died in three movies already first act. Please don't kill me this early And I made a whole part when he became a general in the resistance all the way to the red sidewalk and hopefully No shopping starfighter or somewhere, but put them around another great character.
You need that brash is he's a hand solo Not really maybe a little bit that brash pilot in star wars he can fly everything You talk first. I talk first. You talk first. Really difficult here.
Please. I understand you with that apparatus So yeah again pro dammer even though of those three he doesn't get a lot of springtime in the force awakens We're losing for about 40 minutes probably son or drain to the can bb8 as a main droid difficult to step into r2d2's shoes, but bb8 quickly became a famous star wars droid It wasn't everything after this movie to baby. Oh, that came and kind of took over bba was like cute new star wars thing I think i still love him. I think bba was a great addition So we talked about the new heroes and we'll talk about the villain somewhere and all color and it's one of the main ones He's not a new hero Return of the laia's characters.
We got the return of Han Solo to baka a laia Lucha walker and also ultra alkylita's it's genuine in there Han Solo and chewy are the most prominent in this movie chewy back. I love how they use him in the whole trilogy We get a low with chewy back at this time around This is the last movie that pyramayhew made as chewy and the first one for Jonas. They kind of went back and forth Han Solo again, Harrison Ford is nothing but you can say about him I think Han worked great in this movie that with he instilled in a swim learn as muggler playing the other two games against each other the How he treats ray when hey, are you offering me a job? I won't be nice to you.
I won't pay much So he's still there. Well, he's got still this sweet side that he knows that ray brings something into it Oh chewy likes you he wants to bring her into the fold. I think was great. I think uh, Harrison Ford played him Awesomely, I think he had a lot of fun coming into this role again He's talked about him multiple times how much he loved coming back to play Han Solo in this movie so laia didn't Love to see Carrie fish again unfortunate with us anymore of that three movies I guess between this and last year of course, yes more more than last year I ever had said the first one was gonna be Han Solo movie the second one was Uh, looks and then the third was gonna be laia's movie.
Unfortunately, we getting couldn't get to that point But what her I think her part in the last year that was better than in this one So in here she was fine. It was fine It was great to see laia again Get that being that heartbreaking theme of her and Han Solo and she being the one to push Han to fight for For the stone to fight for Ben Solo to bring him back. They're still hiding him It was look I mean it was no that turned him it wasn't us looks at jeda. You're his father That's a great line.
So yeah, laia very important in this movie. I finally looks guy Walker We've been waiting for him for a long time many years. He was in the posters He was in the in the table really we all were waiting for look to show up He's in the last middle and a half of the movie Little bit of bed and switch. I guess I thought he was gonna show up in a couple of scenes But yeah, he's there.
I wish he had more to do but very impactful even watching it now Knowing what's going to happen in the next movie that scene of ray handing him the showing him the lightsaber and he just looking at it It gives you a sense of oh my god. He's he can't believe I saw seeing that lysova again So once bringing it to him and of course he grabs and throw it in the next movie well anyway Ah, we get some water So called the Venus of the May one Kylo Ren Ben Solo. I love Kylo I know he was the emo guy. He got all the jokes all the the hate also from people out there He just wants to without veida.
Yeah, that's a point. He was the father of his grandfather footsteps But he can't because he does have that evil mess inside Even the deeds split into the bone killing Han Solo I mean, I don't drive a nocter out the park with color and I love all his tantrums I love his design the mass the heavy cloak that cross-guard lightsaber Still feeling that push to the light having to talk to the burnt helmet of Darth Vader Looking up to snoke and hey just finish my training being kind of arrogant that he can't turn ray even when he strain is not finished Great job with this villain or scared that we're going to kill him at the end. I'm glad that they didn't Survive all the way through to the end. He's intimidating You believe that he's able to control and manipulate all those people so it's no given though We I think it's just something like in three scenes in this movie It's very intriguing and we still want to know more about snoke even knowing that he's our failed clone or it's yeah Not a clone of palpatine but they call him a couple times just had this figure that Whatever Some malgum and of something he said a intriguing guy want to learn more about snoke even the comic book Is little hat Got them fast man. Then also general hogs two cool villains fast my following in boba fed Cooler more than doesn't do anything really in this movie kind of a letdown But the design is great and we got some great stories with her after one general hogs Hope it kind of changed for the next two movies. I love his Interactions with kelore and how he wants to do with a military stick type and cal is more about the force I love the little battles for dominance how they play each other how they play snoke against each other blaming each other Um, so yeah, I love hogs in this movie. It's over the top.
Uh, first order officer. He was great Uh, so yeah, let's talk about the music. I mentioned this a little bit in the beginning Uh use of classical themes. They're there the lea theme is there the false theme shows up multiple times I said predominantly in this movie simmers It wasn't a new hope and this is what I mean that new composers have moved away from using it when they talk about the force So talk about heroes.
It's actually a hero theme. So I love that don't really use it constantly here Uh, so yeah, some great classical things make their way back But it's not new themes that make this score great the rate theme is probably Top five top 10 star scenes of all time that jennai steps theme come on watching it yesterday Thing don't think I can't but it's great. Like i low rent here as we come iconic and the resistance theme where they come into Tacodara to save that day with us the x-winds over the water then then then then then then then then then then then then then then Then it's one of the best one of us in this movie. So the whole theme the classical themes and the new score would perfect together I think this is my favorite score of the three movies.

I was great when she gets hurt That's why i said in finish a great character in this movie and lights the lights ever flying to raise hand and a fin picking up Best part of the whole movie best part of the three loli probably one of the best since you know of star which the lights They were flying through the air landing the race hand What do you think what do you guys thought that lights? It is a year that people might not really think too much about it We've been looking to the future of a 2026 for the movies 2027 We didn't get a lot of new tv shows maybe one or two was it a slow year for star wars 2025? No, it wasn't there was a lot of star wars going on this year We're gonna try to recap some of it.
Let's talk about that tv series We got I think the last two episodes of skeleton crew which were Again, I'm using the word perfection too much, but those two last episodes of skeleton crew were great Everything that I wanted from that show that show that came out of nowhere was delayed for a whole year Is it actually gonna happen? Is it really gonna be goonies in space? Yes? Yes?
Yes? It's pirates. It's jot mana wood It's jute love being crazy with this character is the kids It was a great show that finale was great and that happened this year Then we go of course to andro season two Gonna live up to the hype creates for passes on one yes on both counts For a lot of people this is the preeminent star wars anything there a tv show movie story And the season two came out and gave us the show that we needed for the times that we're leaving today It gave us a new format for star wars and look at some releasing three episodes at a time each three ever so block over one year that we will skip a year And they will go sorry every skip was a year the three episode block was a whole year was a full arc I did just this lead up to the gorman massacre and the actual beginnings of the rebellion and the resistance forming On yavin and getting all those players together can't award this was the avengers for star wars getting Mon mothma together with bello gana so get reras out there, uh, dravin, you know everything ready for a rock one Eat working perfection. It broke our hearts.

I haven't watched it yet And but visions volume three came out. We talked about a couple weeks ago a couple months ago as always visions It's great the only thing for this season. It seemed like a lot of them were trying to play into hey Maybe we can continue this forward if you give us a chance we can continue more stories with those characters And that's fine, but there are stories that we got we're pretty good Can't wait for visions volume four.
We get the 90 jai that continues a whole story where new series following the 90 jai coming up in 2026 So yeah volume three of visions was another visual specter. Go every episode look great and black I still can't talk about black. I don't know what the hell happened in that episode Okay, it seems it is the finale or scale up on through the last two episodes and the season two There's only on the world visions volume three lego reveal the galaxy that sequel came out this year Star Wars celebration. It was the only thing we got that's all we needed star wars celebration.
They're pan Man, I mean celebration is just it's a beast in itself. I was re-watching somewhere with earlier of our talk on celebration To get don't remember anything that happened. That's what it takes to put on that show three days or four days of eight to nine hours of constant interviews and panels and trailers and snippets and Frank costumes and cosplay and people coming out to show how they use text to make all these dramats Mind-blowing the amount of dedication that goes to put in a celebration doing that for three three days for 90 years was Great. They're only saying that black was pinflowing in star wars and I think you're right.
You're both on uh, reaching the wall or something next time I watch it But yes, our celebration because the official star fighter title was revealed Which we never get the title for star wars movie before a trailer Ryan Gosling was there. She only was there We got a little bit of tidbits of what's going on. So the title card moles shallow Lord was announced at the the new animated series coming next year Filoni talked about in a soca how he was able to Bring back hey then to bring back anakin and do a soca story with that character back the ILM season two I mean all those people there talking about it Uh, I'm advancing how he helped choreograph the idea behind that yo Dan Dooku fight showing that That anime fight I think it was to the people back there. So yes, that was celebration when they just something it was my first of all I'll say that for there Uh movie announcements and sorry movie news and announcements again the mandala and logo trailer was awesome We got to see seven for not for the first time cuz I'm for but since they're kicking ass the At ads in the snow falling over mandala grow goo in that spiller And then star fighter Matt's made getting a chance to come back to star wars was a great moment Something I think I wasn't gonna do I show that weekend and then that news came out.
Oh, we're gonna talk about this After he's saying there's Interwist with things that he was getting ready to shoot for a rice a Skywalker playing a young palpatine And then I think he shot and got caught in every minute to the movie To now getting a chance to come back to star wars and be a villain in star fighter. Oh my remember that news came out of nowhere And it was great In terms of books we got a lot of books for people out here like myself that love Star Wars publishing and reading if you love the comics come on this hundreds of comments that came out We're just focusing on the books for myself from early in january reina the empire A massive fear that first book came out a little spoiler if I'm gonna do a post on our website in a couple of days favorite star wars was the 2025 we're gonna say now reina the empire was my favorite star wars book of 2025 check that book out that uh It was awesome Sorry, I'm looking for something Alex under free that's why I said the free one of the best of what's right is how they did a great thing was writing of the empire The finale for the high republic trust on the jade I came out this year a lot of heartbreak a lot of talk about Productions years and years of storytelling coming to conclusion my kevin scott. It's also the empire also the jade I'm not proud of the part great finale bad batch centuary That was my biggest surprise in thurs on novels this year Uh, you guys know my history the bad batch finally fell in love with them in the last season was one of my favorite animated shows of all time And that match centuary was a great book follow those characters in between season two and three for no mistaken On pabble trying to save pabble this story is a great divinasa great the characters omega You got a lot for so yes centuary was a great book And we had the last order with a fiend and jena story that 25 year anniversary of revenge of the sixth with new annotation But matt stover master of evil i'll pull a link up here later for our interview with alan christa for a tour Girl master of evil great way to end the year for star wars so yeah if you love star wars book and polish you know you just hey There's no stars tv shows. For me i'm gonna say was couch gone watching celebration japan at home It's not my first time we've done couch gone here. It's the first time that we've actually cannot stay though back I remember I took two days off from work Then 10 o'clock at night. It started or 9 30 when all the way to like 3 30 almost foreign that morning that first night Then starting again back at narrow 10 going till 2 or being able to connect with all the star wars fans out there from here This days to Japan and everywhere in between as everything is coming out Watching a new slide getting all that emotion we felt like we were there even though we were separated about like 13 hours So I think couch gonna watch in celebration live was my biggest biggest moment of 2025. I love every single moment of it Ah, so yeah, it's a great time.
