We are back, talking Star Wars, a little bit of news, finally, we'll get to that in a couple of minutes, but hi guys and today, thanks for joining us. Maybe I'll show up, maybe not, we'll find out at the same time, if you see right now, but that's okay, we're here to talk Star Wars with everyone out, so hopefully everyone's having a good weekend so far, it is the last weekend over here, at least for myself before school starts, so getting everything ready. Streets are crazy, the stores are crazy, so just be careful out there, if you're getting all your back to school shopping done right now, so it's the end of the summer for a lot of us.

Back to reality, I guess, so thank you again for being here, and if it's your first time, join us, thank you. As always, make sure you're subscribed to our channel, so you don't miss any new episodes where they drop, give a thumbs up, like to this video and subscribe, sorry, and comment, if you're watching this later, in the replay comment below, any thoughts on the top we were talking about today, or anything you want us to cover in the future, and if you're listening to us on the other podcast, I always thank you for supporting us over there and whatever you're listening to, I know it was a five star rating and review also, so yeah, with all that, out of the way, again, thank you for being here, we'll say a couple of news items, some rumors, some book stuff from San Diego, we'll get through those, and get you guys out of here fast, so if you guys are already, I'm not ready, let's talk Star Wars and Star Wars movie news! Star Wars movie news! Alright, so Star Wars movie news, it is time for that doctor, finally, is making his way to Star Wars, another doctor, I should say, so according to a report from the show, on the deadline, Matt Smith, known for his roles in the Crown, House of the Dragon, and of course, Doctor Who, as the 11th doctor, sorry, he will finally get his chance to join the galaxy far, far away, as he's been cast as a villain in the upcoming, Star Wars movie Starfighter, alongside Ryan Gosling, and Mia Garth, who's also, was through more than a couple of months ago, to also play a villain, so I'm really interested in now, at least, if all of this pans out, we have two main villains with Mia Garth and Matt's mates are still going to be interested in how that dynamic plays out, it's cool that we might get more than one main villain in the story, maybe one reports to the other, we'll figure that out, hopefully, this movie comes out, I think it's May 28th, 2027, so less than two years away, hopefully we start getting some official casting news soon, and we get a cast list, that's probably after Mando and Grohl comes out, we know how we look at S3M1 Disney likes too, and the promoters are still separate, so, very excited to see when that officially gets announced.

Alright, now again, get off your jokes out of the way, somehow about patting return, yeah, yeah, get all those out of the way, so again, Matt Smith was rumored for a long time, I think he got the part, I don't believe anything was shot, I might be wrong, and I said nothing got shot for him as a young palpatine for episode nine, the rise of Skywalker, but anyway, when the movie came out, he wasn't there, so now he gets his chance to be back in Star Wars, and for Trimdex Cyla, I like him as an actor, everything I've seen him, I've enjoyed, again, from the crown, he does a great job, also the dragon as the demon Targaryen is awesome, and of course, he's run as the Doctor's iconic, so I really interested to see what he brings to this character that he's going to be playing, this villain, having seen him in more views and some of the other things, one night in Soho or something like that, he also plays a good character, whether he does a good job, so he has a good range of different styles, so interesting to see how we place it in Star Wars, which can be a little bit over the top, but what type of character would he play? I hope it's not just run out of the middle, general or admiral or moth, they just sit on the bridge of a star destroyer, giving orders to someone, I hope it's part of the action out there, and if he's a general or something like that, then okay, but hopefully, that's not just fearful scenes of him sitting behind a desk or something, I want to be more involved in what this story actually is, I really don't know anything about this movie, I think some of the little rumors or snippets I've been circling around, especially when Miyagoth was cast or it was rumored to be cast, was that Ryan Gosling was trying to find, I think, you know, really, I say, was an FU, and then they changed that to something else, but he's trying to find this young person, this is five years after the rise of Skywalker, so where does it fall in terms of are they part of the New Republic, is mass-made remnants of the first officers, the remnants of the Empire, this is a totally different faction that's out there, again, we don't know anything, and that's why it's interesting for this movie, I still hope, and I'm probably wrong, I'm not wrong because I don't think this, I'm not telling you guys what's gonna happen, just what I wish, is that it kind of takes a little bit of knots from the Alpha of the Squad, in terms of Ryan Gosling's character, maybe some other heroes, let's say, are these actually different types of starfighter core, this squadron, this unit out there, and they're battling a remnant squadron from the Empire or the First Order, and that's the starfighter kind of naming to it, so I hope it's something like that, so that's why I say maybe, I mean, since it's that general, the commander that I fight, I just heard from the starfighter squad, and from the base commander, that I fight the squad, I don't know if I think that plays well, I hope we see him behind the cockpit in one of the stars you can go set to head with Ryan Gosling, so on also. I'm very excited if you guys have any thoughts of what you think he might play, what you would like him to play, any type of character or faction, just let me know, I don't think these movies will have a lot to do with the Force and Jedi and Toxiders or Sith, so I don't expect any of those characters to be really in a lightsaber, and that's fine, we'll get that in the New Jedi Order movie, we'll talk about it in a couple minutes, in the Dawn of the Jedi, we'll get that, maybe even in the Mandalorian girl, we'll get a soak or something else. Alright, so again, very excited for Matt Mays to be joined in Star Wars, very excited for Starfighter, and this movie's been fast-tracked again after the success of Death when the movie rings, Sean Lee by Star Wars movie was gonna get faster either way, but I'm glad that this is something that he came up with, it's not a story that's been pushed to him to recognize something that he doesn't feel passionate about, but this is a story that he brought up to Star Wars or to Lucas V, I should say, under the script and I didn't start enough to fast-track this up.

A little bit less than two years before we find out what's going on with Matt Mays, instead of his family, it doesn't get cut or something happens, so he'll be there. That doctor was, I think it's like the third Doctor Who, Doctor, and we still have four at least, third Doctor Who Doctor that makes it to Star Wars, maybe the first villain, so it's gonna be cool. Alright, so we followed that kind of official, although not an official from Lucas V, but if that line is reporting, we're gonna run with it saying that it's pretty much confirmed, to now 100% rumour from, and not always reliable scooper, he's had a couple of rumours out there during the summer that I really haven't even talked about, but we'll jump into this one, it's dental risk when he says that plants were the New Jedi Order movie and beyond are starting to take shape. It's been compared to the Mandovers in the sense that after the first New Jedi Order movie with Ray Skywalker, it will be built towards something bigger to a major event that will bring characters into those in previous films who bring them all together.

So it's kind of like the Mandovers, some people are comparing it to the MCU and either MCU where we find Star Wars, which a lot of people out there don't like or how they don't happen. I think the whole universe is Star Wars, everything's connected, so eventually those connections will take place. I don't see them as MCU-ifying Star Wars. The Mandovers for the most part I think has been successful.

There are hiccups in there, depending who you ask or what your thoughts are on certain entries, but I think by the most part it's worked. I will see again how it works out with the Mandeloid and Grogon movie and also with Asoka Season 2, that connects to the Phylonya movie, is the Ray Skywalker, New Jedi Order connecting to Asoka and Ray Skywalker, the New Jedi Order movie I should say is like 15 years, 10 to 15 years after the Ray Skywalker, so that's from like 20 years after Asoka, so I don't see those characters interacting, which is totally fine. I see these more, regular trilogy, you have a movie, you know, a follow up movie that connects on items and then the third movie brings everyone together for this major event. So that's how I see it.

If after the New Jedi Order movie we get two TV shows about something else and then a third movie that connects those two shows and you bring characters, then okay, it's more like the Mandovers. But if they're building towards something, they've planned it out, which again was the main issue with the sequel trilogy, which I enjoyed anyway, but the main issue with it was that they didn't seem that there was some connecting thread all the way out or thought throughout with JJ, you write your stuff, Ryan, you write yours, oh, just sort of his name, you write the only part, no we don't like that, we don't like that, do all the fades, let's go back to JJ, Ryan Johnson couldn't do it because he was supposed to do the third one, I don't know. So all that hopefully doesn't happen again and they have a plan going forward, so even if it connects different movies and TV shows and like the Mandalorian has done that, it's fine, as long as everything's been planned out and they have an exist strategy, I guess, I'm okay with it and we'll be fine. Alright, and actually, we'll be a short show today, let's finish up with our third news story, at least Star Wars wide.

We have to do some book reveals, San Diego Comic Con, which happened about two weeks ago, and we got a few reveals for your comic Star Wars books, it mainly focused on the end to the High Republic and talk about the San Diego Comic Con panels, talked a lot about the end of the High Republic, how much it meant to all the writers and comic book artists and one that were behind the scenes that were involved with the High Republic was there, a bunch of new comics got announced, visual guides, I demand the Lord and visual guide, the art of the acolyte, all those were revealed and some images came out, we did get some new books announcement or title reveals, because I think only one new novel, which was a little bit of a bomber, that's okay, we know we have the Maso Evil, the Island Crystal for Darth Vader novel coming out later this year, we have that one to look at. When there's some new books, I think the only one that was announced was called Low Red Moon, which is a Star Wars Outlaw prequel novel focusing on everyone's favorite, it's Sex It's Joy out there, ND5, this book is scheduled for February 3 of 2026, I'm not too familiar with ND5 with that story, I haven't played Star Wars Outlaw video game just yet, so I can't really be excited or not about that novel, we'll see, as we get closer, of course, that's to do with a bunch of outlets and the underworld in Star Wars, I think there's something that happens on the video games, on big reveal towards the end, they'll be explained in this book, there's a second character that shows up here, I think it's part of the video game, there's some family issues with that character, I think he thinks everyone from his family has been killed and he's trying to figure out, it's a big synopsis if you guys want to check it out there, but for me what I'm excited about is new titles and release date for the next book in the Rain of the Empire, Trillalee, this came out at the beginning of this year, we got the first book, I'm asked of fear, I love that book, that book is one of my favorite books, my favorite book of 2025 so far, what's his name, Alex Hunter-Freet, was the author of that book, which I just mentioned, we're talking about the Alpha Iswell and Trillalee, so we got new titles for book two and book three and new, sorry, we got book titles and new release date, so the book number two, it's because Rain of the Empire, H of the Abbeys, by Rebecca Runhorse and this book is set one year before and or she's on one, so six years BBY and similar to how book one and master's fear, that name was a reference to an Amix manifesto, H of the Abbeys is a reference to Mon Mothma's Peach to the Senate regarding the government massacre in episode, I guess it was episode seven, not episode seven, episode 10 or 11, welcome to the rebellion, so when she's talking to the Senate, making her speech of this title, H of the Abbeys, that's a picture, very cool, it keeps referring items that we've seen before, it will come out fall of 2026, instead of spring of 2026, that's a little bit of Obama, we'll have to wait five or six months extra before the book comes out, but again, I love the first book so much, I'll give them extra time if they need it to give us another masterpiece and Rebecca Runhorse, pretty good author out there, should it be the rise of the rebellion, where is it, I am somewhere, I'm not going to find it now, but somewhere, oh sorry, resistance reborn, right there, oh you can see it, resistance reborn, so you did a great job with that book regarding that sequentially, and then book three, which is by Fran Wild is going to be called Rena the Empire from the Ashes, and this one was supposed to come out summer of 2027, and then got push up to spring of 2027, sorry, from spring 2027 to summer 2027, so just a couple of months, not too bad on that one, I don't know if from the ashes going to be a reference to something that will find out in the near future, if it's a totally original title, I don't have no idea, if someone else knows what from the ashes, if that sentence has been mentioned in Star Wars before, Fran Wild, she did a story from a certain point of view, she did a story with Monma retrieving some information from Adroid, one of my top five I think in that book, in the entire series, so another great writer for those books, actually I've been, fall 2026, and then book three from the ashes, summer 2027, so very excited for those two books, and if you're a fan of Star Wars Outlaw and sexy droid, Nd5 with his strange coat, low red moon comes out a little bit early on February 3rd, 2026, so yeah guys that does it basically for our show today, not a lot of news out there, basically the Matt Smith storyline, or the story that broke, again very excited for Islam, let me know you guys, in the comments down below on social media, blue sky, wherever, what are your thoughts on Matt Smith joining Star Wars, will he officially be there, something else happens, hopefully not, but we'll be back, probably not next week or less, we'll get more news items, more stuff to talk about, we'll play by the year, so whenever there's news items to talk about, we'll be back, and that's why it's important you subscribe to our channel, you don't miss, when you have a social drop, so for now there, thank you so always, we'll be back soon, stay safe, be safe, and I'll pause with you with you, see ya!
