Dietrich, MD, PhD, about updates and best practices for HER2 and MET immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing for patients with non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Dr Dietrich is a medical oncologist at Cancer Care Centers of Brevard in Rockledge, Florida; as well as an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In our exclusive interview, Dr Dietrich discussed the rationale for testing for these mutations in patients with NSCLC, standard practices for implementing these tests in the clinic, and when testing may be appropriate at disease progression.
