In today’s episode Mazyar Shadman, MD, MPH, discussed results from a post hoc indirect comparison that evaluated zanubrutinib (Brukinsa) from phase 3 SEQUOIA trial (NCT03336333) compared with acalabrutinib (Calquence) plus venetoclax (Venclexta) from the phase 3 AMPLIFY trial (NCT03836261) in patients with treatment-naive chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Dr Shadman is a professor in the Clinical Research Division, medical director of Cellular Immunotherapy, and the Innovators Network Endowed Chair at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington.In our exclusive interview, Dr Shadman began with a top-line overview of how the indirect comparison was conducted and the rationale behind it.
