Dr. Peter Mataira earned his doctoral degree in social policy and social work from Massey University, Albany campus in Auckland, New Zealand. He has published widely in areas of indigenous health, well-being and economic justice with particular emphasis on cultural research methodologies and social innovation and entrepreneurship. His clinical and community practice background is in mental and behavioral health, economic sustainability and working with marginalized indigenous people. He enjoys running, reading, music, playing tennis, rugby, travel, and spending time with his family.    Dr. Paula Morelli is retired, and continues to support the community through her work as a Clinical and Research Consultant and Affiliate Graduate Faculty at University of Hawai`i and in her work in Indigenous Evaluation. This includes their current work accompanying (walking alongside) Ulu `Ae Learning Center in Kalaeloa, HI in their development of programming and evaluation.
